Senators can be effective without debating and nobody ever thought Fetterman would be a good senator because of his oratory skills in the Senate chambers.

October 26, 20223 yr That was brutal for Fetterman. Why in the world did he agree to a debate knowing that was the likely outcome? He should fire his handlers for that decision.

He should fire his handlers for that decision. He tried to play the "set expectations low beforehand" and "brave for getting on the stage despite the stroke" cards. I only watched clips but still I doubt either is gonna work after that. Even in cases of a stroke where the cognitive function of the brain is intact, the word finding issues can be pronounced and linger for awhile. They had to know this wasn't going to be a good look.

It’s just unfortunate that Fetterman had a stroke right before the primary. As bad as Fetterman is, he’s still more coherent than Herschel Walker.

I believe he does better in front of crowd. He never should of debated.
