They signed a player from that Key & Peele skit.

If this season is going to have some of the repeat magic of 2017 then this will prove to be a meaningful and impactful signing.

Damnnnn wish we signed Foles just once more... All the other pieces are falling into place...

Another good signing. He's not the honey badger, but he's a proven starter in the league. With him at safety San Francisco made the NFC Conference Championship game. At best he'll beat Harris or Epps for a starting position and at worst he adds proven veteran depth.

Howie covering all his bases this year.

With four Interceptions in seven years probably not, but:

3rd lowest completion rate in coverage among safeties ... probably covering the likes of Jalen Reagor.

Sometimes PFF just pulls stats out of their bottom

He’s pretty good.  He’ll play or at least rotate.  Howie’s good at waiting guys out and signing them for cheap because they need a job.

Decent pickup. He will make the roster and possibly win a starting job.

The Eagles have had a pretty good off-season, IMO.

I like this signing.  Adds good depth to the defensive backfield.  And at this stage of his career, he's probably better suited for more spot than full time duty with the ability to take over if someone goes down.  Good track record with these one year deals.

There are literally over 70 safeties ranked higher than him. Oh well.

Unless injuries factor in, I don’t expect both Tartt and Wallace to make the team. It’ll be one or the other.

Got to think he's going to make the roster based on the current S position.

He seems like a pretty good player. Honestly with this group of safeties he could be the best one.

Huh?  He was in the NFC West, so more likely guys like Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, OBJ, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald.

I wasn’t being serious.

So, how much did he get?

He seems to be competent...I approve

Has a shy personality and was not fan favorite, but played a solid game with 49ers. I do not know if he will be an upgrade, but a solid safety.

"Shy personality?" What did you read his tinder profile or something? Weird thing to lead with when talking about a football player.

He also likes moonlit walks on the beach.

I am worried about him fitting into Philadelphia Culture, about fitting into a new team, about fans over reacting. I have looked at his stats and they are solid.  2nd round pick. Full time starter , started  64 out of 80 games. Played great on multiple occasions including beating the Eagles by breaking up a pass to Davis. Very happy that he is here. I just wish fans would give him some slack as he eases into the new scheme.

Maybe he won’t be reading this message board anyway.
