I'd have to get more details on this. Praying in school (despite the whining of right wingers) is common place in schools. It is and should be allowed. This includes students and teachers who carry around a prayer rug and pray to mecca 3 times a day or whatever. Students "felt compelled to take part". What does that mean? Feelings don't really factor into the law. If there were some sort of punitive action taken against students who did not take part, then its a big problem.

i think it was a football coach who had "prayer time" at the 50 yard line after games. some argued that the players/students felt obligated to take part. maybe there's more to it but that's what i read.

my hs football team did the same thing after games...but nobody queefed about that sort of stuff back then.

Ok, I see it.  NY Supreme Court and yes the law was set to allow non-Citizen but legal residents the right to vote locally.

When I first moved to Sweden I was able to vote in the local elections as a legal resident but not in the national elections.  That always seemed reasonable to me.

It’s one reason I hate our immigration policies. The feds (and states) are making billions in payroll and other taxes off of illegals. The whole ‘’no taxation without representation’’ thing.

Doesn't know his place?

Fwiw he’s been silent during oral arguments when justices often ask questions.  It’s not like he hasn’t been writing opinions.

Well, his wife has been way more active than he has.  She texted or e-mailed half the state legislators in the country about overturning the election.

This is mostly false… the super majority of illegals working in the US do so as 1099 independent contractors and don’t contribute payroll taxes.

Immigrants who have a Tax Identification Number that are working and paying taxes are not illegal.

There are some illegal workers paying taxes under fraudulent TIN #’s, but most employers willing to hire workers without vetting the workers true identity are typically also willing to completely by-pass paying payroll taxes, SS benefits, Medicaid, workmens comp and liability insurance by classifying the worker as "independent contractors” and saving even more expense.
