The Justice Department does not pass laws. Congress does. I do not see how DOJ can enact this. It would set precedent that the 2nd Amendment is limited and other law-abiding citizens can be banned from buying guns.

It really is the essence of Trumpism. It's legal for me and people I like, but illegal for people I don't like. Just like gerrymandering is legal in Texas and illegal in California. Trump is very very close to coming out and saying that constitutional rights only apply to people who support him.

I’m so pro-gun I hate the NRA because they aren’t pro-gun enough, and EVEN THEY came out against a trans gun ban.

Should go to show how absolutely asinine such an idea even is, let alone even entertaining the thought. Whoever came up with this bait was either (and let’s face it, probably both) a)monumentally stupid, or b) unable to grasp how fervent the pro-gun lobby is these days.

No they are not all mentally disturbed simply because they are trans. These are the same arguments you bigots used to push back against homosexuals. The majority of mental health issues the trans community have, come from how they are treated by society.

Anyone here looking at suppressors or SBRs now that the tax has gone away? There were 150,000 forms submitted in Jan 1 and seems like wait times are under a week. I submitted a form 1 this afternoon, never had to leave my computer to do it....

I have a handful of suppressors I've bought over the years and I took advantage of the pistol brace thing a couple of years ago to SBR a bunch of braced pistols I had (ARs, MP5, Sig MCX and MPX, Mossbrrg Shockwave)

I might buy a few more cans after things die down.....

Honestly, I'm hoping SCOTUS hears the FPC case to overturn the NFA now that the tax was eliminated. The whole legal argument was that it was a tax, so now that no money is being collected, it's basically now just an illegal registry.
