I think it's wild that he can be removed from the army due to mental illness but roam around in civilization with guns (assuming he had these legally)

its clear that the NRA supports the mentally ill to own and possess guns.

It's clear he doesn't care that the shooter is a Neo Notzee, white supremacist, racist hater. I guess he must be sympathetic to their cause.

 Totally.

Media: The shooter might be a white supremacist! Here's a stock image of a white guy holding a gun!

Me: Uh, it was a hispanic dude.

Soyboys: Wow, obsessed with race much, bro?

Never change, CVON.

Does the race of the Proud Boys Leader, who was convicted of Seditious Conspiracy matter as much.

Proud Boys leader who burned BLM banner, brought firearm magazines to D.C. gets 5 months in jail | KTLA

This one must be hard for the CVON Proud Boys. It’s hard to blame the brown man when he’s one of yours.

Another mass killing this time by motor vehicle in Texas. I guess this guy couldn't find a gun.

Driver charged as several killed in Texas border city

STORY: Several pedestrians were killed in south Texas on Sunday when a man driving an SUV mowed down people near a homeless shelter that attends to migrants.

Police in the city of Brownsville said the driver is in custody, facing reckless driving charges and possible other charges.

According to police, the victims in the morning crash were waiting at a bus stop near Ozanam Center, a shelter for the homeless used by migrants.

And that migrants were among the dead.

I had to click on the article to see if the green font was actually in the article lol

Yeah, totally dude. Malls and schools were getting shot up just as much back then too.

Active shooters started becoming a thing in the 80s.

I’m not for a ban at all but I mock conservatives who promote the toxic gun culture that some do. I mock the conservatives who think anyone should have instant access to any gun they want. I mock conservatives who think people should not have to have training to own a gun. I mock conservative who disregard simple safety rules that used to be the norm. I mock conservatives who think it’s wrong to ban guns but thinks it’s ok to ban books or a person’s lifestyle. I mock conservatives who think the way to reduce gun violence is to have more guns.

Well I should think anyone should have access to a right. Training would not fix this problem. Honesty I have no idea what simple safety issues you’re talking about; I’ve seen way more dumb firearm stuff from your generation than mine so into me that aspect seems like it’s improving. Not sure what the book discourse has to do with guns. The most hardcore gun people I know are also pretty hard core libertarians. More guns is actively happening so get over it.

if it were the guns then New Hampshire would be an apocalyptic wasteland due to its historical lax gun laws.

Regardless of you just posted here, if you don’t believe we need more regulations for gun ownership in this country, you are part of the problem.  Anyone believing they should be able to pick up an AR15 at a gun show without any background checks is clearly a part of our nation’s awful inability to protect its citizens.

Its disgusting.

Not a lot of liberals know this, but at most gun shows you get to choose between an AR-15, an uzi, or a 6 pack of hand grenades just for buying a ticket.

Just picked up this bad boy at a gun show last week.

Only $400 and I didn't even have to show ID.

No way you can afford a $400 tank

Its the overall gun culture of today I’m talking about. The number one gun safety rule my dad taught me as a kid, and I believe was also taught in hunter safety courses, was that there is no such thing as an empty gun and they should always be handled as if they were loaded. I got laughed at when I brought that up on here before. When I corrected kids in the military for poor muzzle awareness or leaning the weapon against tables in the chow hall, I constant heard, "it’s not loaded sarge.” Better safety training may not do much to stop mass shootings would help change the lax gun culture we have today.

Thinking that everyone should have unfettered access to a right is a BS answer. What makes you think the right to bear arms is any different than all of our other rights? Enumerated rights are no more or less important than any other right we have. Proper training and thorough background checks should be required before allowing anyone to own a gun. Boo-boo if you have to wait.

I realize my gun stance is no longer in line with the LP. I’m not a cult member so I don’t follow any platform 100%.

Yeah, so that guy buying the AR15 at a gun show more than likely had to pass a background check to get that gun.

just because it was bought at a gun show doesn’t mean there was no background check.

you should check to see what that loophole actually is.

I’ve been flagged by boomers more than I’ve been flagged by any other generation.

It would also seem to me that if those soldiers were lax with their weapon control that that’s more of the fault of their NCOs and peers.

TBH as someone who is in the gun culture today I haven’t seen anything lax. There’s plenty of stupidity abound as there is in everything, but if those ish bird soldiers didn’t handle weapons safely in a time and place where failure meant physical pain and loss of privileges, wtf makes you think some mandatory bureaucratic class is going to do it?

So boo boo to you, I’m not waiting and I’m not taking a class. Get over it.

Boomers are not the ones shooting up soft targets on a regular basis.
