Just like the reports I posted, the right does ideology based violence on a frequent basis. The strong politicization of what happened to Kirk proves that most of it happens from the right; if most of it was caused by the left, it would be weaponized for political gain constantly, just like what happened with Kirk.

Sadly, I'm essentially venting because I've more or less given up on my country. It feels like people are becoming increasingly swallowed by confirmation bias, and strongly individualist countries who feel they have no duty to one another as human beings above ideology are the most powerless to resist this sort of nonsense. Propaganda has overtaken information, and if you ask someone what they consider 'credible' as information sources nowadays, the answers would be more divided than ever.

At this point, the only thing I have left to do until I can leave the country is kick hypocrisy where I can find it, and have that do absolutely nothing thanks to confirmation bias, and watch from afar while America circles the drain thanks to being too prideful to look outside our borders, too prejudiced to consider all people equal, and too self-important to consider admitting to one's own mistakes and learning from it.

I don't think there's really anyone to convince anymore unless I wanted to devote my life towards fixing it, and I don't want to do that, so...we're all on this ship together I suppose...

I’ve tried with a few level headed righties who hold their nose and vote Trump and I’m met with silence. All I’ve suggested was that Trump must take the lead if anything is going to get better. I suppose they agree but don’t want or are too afraid to say so.
