EAGLES WR ZACH PASCAL SENDS MESSAGE TO DETRACTORS LABELING HIM A "BLOCKING RECEIVER”

New Eagles’ WR AJ Brown has been the center of attention this offseason, understandably so.

Brown has eclipsed 1,000 yards in two of his first three seasons in the NFL and plays like a running back with the ball in his hands. Earning his way to a $100M extension, Brown projects to be the alpha in Philadelphia’s new-look offense.

The Eagles’ other WR acquisition this offseason, Zach Pascal, doesn’t want you to forget about him either.

Pascal is known to be a gritty player who excels in short-yardage situations and is a willing blocker in open space. The 214-pounder isn’t afraid of the dirty work, but he’s here to do damage in the passing game as well:

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni groomed Pascal in Indianapolis for three seasons and was eager to get him in Philadelphia once the 27-year-old hit free agency. Pascal had back-to-back campaigns with 600+ yards prior to last season.

He caught just 38 passes for 384 yards in 2021 while the Colts leaned heavily on RB Jonathan Taylor. With training camp less than three weeks away, it’ll be interesting to see how the depth chart shakes out as Pascal and Quez Watkins compete for WR3 snaps.

I think he'll be a factor in the end zone... I think for a WR 3/4 he could get 6-8 TDs.

Can't believe we'll keep Reagor as a #5 receiver even with the cap implicatoins. I don't want to route for injuries but hopefully we can unload him on some team that has a rash of them before the season.

If Reagor can put things together, you might end up happy we didn't unload him (assuming we don't). Considering all that happened to the team during his rookie year, I thought he showed some things. Coming from the college program he was in, I kind of expected him to have struggles early. What I didn't expect was what we saw last season (his 2nd year). We should have seen marked improvement, but it seemed like the opposite. I know it's not a popular opinion around here, but I'm willing to completely forget about last season if he shows up strong in TC and preseason this year. Last year, he was a "starter" because we needed him to be and as such, we really didn't get him the work he needed during preseason. This year, he clearly isn't beginning the season as a starter and we can afford to give him a lot of reps in the preseason. I'm not sure if having less pressure on him will benefit how he performs, but it could. If he can make some plays and build confidence, I think he can get his career on track. Whether or not his future is here, if he could at least demonstrate value to other teams, maybe we can get something useful in return.

I hear you, but he apparently had a good training camp last year then crap the bed during the season. I just don't trust him and with a couple of potentially good punt returners competing a roster spot with him I hope he's moved.

I'm hoping he becomes the player we drafted him to be. If not, we definitely need someone to step up returning punts. I feel our WR group is strong with or without him. Ideally, though, he would fulfill his potential and help this team win games.
