Had inspection done yesterday.  Mechanic put on front brakes and rotated my tires.  Today the car is pulling to the left.  Not horrible but enough to notice it.  I called and said it needs an adjustment.  The kid sort of blew me off and said mechanic said it's Ok but after 1K miles if it's still doing it they will rotate them back.

I'm not sure I accept this answer.

No have them check the alignment before you burn your tires out

How many miles did you put on the tires before they were rotated?

Either you need new tires not just to have them rotated or after they rotated them they did not align them. Have them check the alignment.

If you could just picture me as Diane Keaton in Baby Boom when the plumbing finally goes and she freaks out.  This is me now when I don't know something.  Since I ended the call pretty abruptly with the kid yesterday, my mechanic actually called me back. Something about the treads and memory of these low profile tires.  Give it a week. I said OK.

Last time my car was in I had the timing belt and water pump changed.  It was a Friday.  On Monday morning mechanic called me and said he needed my car for a few minutes.  He worried all weekend that he hadn't tightened something so I went by and all was well.  Mr Di always trusted this guy, and I thought it was commendable to call me to double check his work.  Having him call me back was also unexpected, and although I don't like the answer I will listen and see what happens.

Thank you all for your assistance.

Next challenge is alerting the slum lord well in advance that I’ll need heat someday.  Yeah I could move and get another car but this all costs money.  I’m a cheap arse hard working gal just trying to survive and one day become a minimalist.  People today piss me off. Sometimes the ones I’ve known for years. I wanna punch them in the teeth but I don’t. Maybe I’m too nice.  F!

I see your problem with the furnace  - your landlord is a plumber not an HVAC guy!

Tire rotation shouldn't cause that. He could of not balanced them properly but, that would cause shaking at higher speeds. The front brakes could cause it if a caliper is sticking. All that being said it sounds more likely it's an alignment issue.

With everything you’ve been through over the past few years, your impatience with others is certainly understandable. I hope you have folks you can really talk to.

I do.  I just need to let loose on that L/L of mine. 36 years I've lived there and now that Mr Di is gone both he and his B girlfriend treat me like I'm a 2nd rate citizen.  I put a curse on his mother back when his parents owned the place cause she also disrespected me.  She lived to the ripe age of 94 with several of her last years being in a home sucking up a bunch of the family fortune.

I reported a low wire a few weeks back.  He came and fixed it himself (he has a bucket truck from the 1960s!) and he complained to me about it-well did you see who did it?  Um, no!!  He literally mows the grass and that's it.  No weed eating.  No attempt whatsoever to fix a failing wall, or throw some paint on the exterior of any of the structures.  NOTHING!! My son comes by and re-mows and does the weed eating. So it does look a bit better.

Anyway, I'm playing nice-even used large font so he won't have to go fetch his glasses to read my letter and won't see the spit I put on his check.
