time2rock Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Here for not much longer than a cup of coffee, Amadi, who was acquired in the deal that sent JJAW to Seattle, was dealt to Tennessee for a swap of late 2024 picks. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/titans-trade-for-eagles-safety-ugo-amadi-swap-late-round-picks-in-2024/ 1
paco Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 I’m assuming we are turning a 7th into a 6th? Given we shed JJaw and gained draft capital, I’ll take it 7

Highly doubt it is just a swap of picks in the same round since obviously Tennessee may end up with a pick later than ours. 1
Thing3 Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 This was the first thing that came to mind when I heard about this trade: 3

I found this Quote They packaged Amadi and their 2024 seventh-round selection in exchange for the Titans’ 2024 sixth-round pick. So, the Birds moved up one round in two years from now. 2

brkmsn Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Tartt had the highest defensive grade on the team Sunday, playing a majority of the defensive snaps. That probably played a part in the decision to move on so quickly via trade).
Ipiggles Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Howie working his draft magic- later he can write a book and title it : "how to turn a mid second round draft pick into a 6th rd pick in 3 easy steps in only 4 years" Paperback title: "NFL Drafting for DUMMIES" 1 2
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Howie doing Howie things. He wasn't going to make the roster and so he's gotten value out of a player that had no role. 3
pallidrone Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 So now they have an open spot. Whats the chance they bring in a QB for the final PS game?
Fresh_Prince Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Howie's good at cutting losses. I give him a ton of credit for that. Being able to get rid of bum players and get something from it is a necessary GM skill. I'm impressed we got out of the Wentz situation as well as we did. I know the retort to that is 'then Howie shouldn't draft bums in the first place!' but it could be worse. We could draft bums and get nothing for it in the end. 1

Ipiggles Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Just now, weko said: Lurie made the JJ pick. Dont care- Howie's name has the Title GM after it. Who made the Reagor pick? 1

CB Josh Blackwell re-signed to fill that open spot. https://thelibertyline.com/2022/08/25/eagles-re-sign-josh-blackwell/ 1
