Posted September 1, 20223 yr GREAT move. Especially with Ohio State winning the National Championship this year it will bring good karma. And with his familiarity with Hurts.
September 1, 20223 yr Low risk high reward... Most 9ers fans comments I saw said that he was just not a good fit for their offense... Said he tries to dance too much for a guy his size and their offense needs a one cut and run type of guy... Not the rb I was expecting but I do like this move

We’ll see see which Sermon we’re getting. Hopefully the Ohio State version.

I told my buddy last year who is a 9ers fan I really thought Sermon was going to have that backfield locked up by the end of the year... Was way wrong about that one... Hopefully it really is just a scheme fit and he excels with us... My only concern is that if you can't make it in the 9ers offense how good can you be... Fingers crossed im hoping he works out for us

September 1, 20223 yr I think he’s had an amazing off season…the ‘22 Eagles are a big upgrade in almost all areas over the ‘21 Eagles!

September 1, 20223 yr He's a RB with size so if they can get him running with that physicality then it's a good pick up. Let's see what he can do but on paper I like the move.
September 1, 20223 yr For what they gave up for him, its a no brainer. I too thought he would be the RB1 for SF by midseason. Never happened. Maybe this will set him straight and he goes back to what he did best. Be the hole.
September 1, 20223 yr Here's our Thumper. 6' 1", 215 lbs. Maybe this kid can add some pounds. Standing at 6-foot-1, 215-pounds with a 4.57 second 40-yard dash time, Sermon has the physical tools needed to be a productive NFL and fantasy football running back. https://www.4for4.com/2021/preseason/trey-sermon-49ers-running-back-you-want-2021#:~:text=Standing at 6-foot-1,and fantasy football running back. It's not like LeGarrette Blount was fast. He was 6.1 245 lbs. 4.7 in the 40 at his combine.4.59 at his pro day. https://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?i=8425
September 1, 20223 yr I think that with our OL the potential with him is sky high, honestly. Just hope he gets there.
September 2, 20223 yr I would imagine that Hurts' familiarity with Sermon during their time together at Oklahoma had something to do with the waiver claim

He might be a good, normal running back, not against the move but 215 isn't Jordan Howard. Jalen Hurts is 222 pounds and 4.59 40. AJ Brown is 226 pounds and 4.49 40. How about getting Jeremiah Hall, put him on practice squad?
