My post was saying, put him down, absolutely, but "going Medieval" to me meant that we should be going back stone-age torture or public executions. I know it's nearly impossible for most people to take themselves emotionally out of the situation, but republics are supposed to be founded on principles of modern justice. Yes, we treat our enemies better than they would treat us or even their own. If we go back to stoning people to death or drawing and quartering, we'd look just like the people that we are trying to claim the moral high ground over. That's what they do in the Middle East. If we become more like them and adopt their tactics and codes of justice, then that means the terrorists are winning.
