Police face danger and are on alert to protect themselves. Police are scrutinized and have to follow procedures, whereas criminals don't follow any rules or morals and do anything to get away with things. There are some criminals who resist arrest, don't follow police instruction, or attack police or reach for a gun. There are also some criminals who follow instructions and do nothing and get abused or killed anyway. There are good police who do the right thing and don't get enough attention. There are corrupt police who harass people and abuse their power. There are whites who get killed by police but don't get the media attention. There are blacks who are murdered by corrupt police who should be jailed. There are likely more interactions we don't know about because of reporting, or no one around with a camera. We have a history of oppression of blacks in this country that hangs over every white-black interaction like a storm cloud, it's just how it is. Yea, to all of this. I’ll add one more: police coverups / misrepresenting events / police unions defending disgusting actions by cops etc happens waaaaay more than it should and feeds into all the distrust about police in general. If they police themselves better, they’d be viewed much more highly by all communities and good cops (who outnumber bad ones) would get the respect they deserve
June 6, 20205 yr Some of these videos are sickening - anyone caught on video inciting violence as a protestor or a cop seen using excessive force against peaceful protestors should be identified and prosecuted.

Racist thugs become cops to abuse the badge and kill people. Pedophiles become men of the cloth to rape little boys. both are noble professions that attract some of the most deranged ukers that America has to offer. And just like the church wronged a long time by protecting their bad ones because they were one of them, the police needs to seriously look at itself and fix the issue if protecting their own bad ones

Cops will rat each other out over the most minor of things. Nothing happens because labor CBAs for gov employees make it impossible to properly discipline them.

June 11, 20205 yr I know the kid they put in the hospital. Hippie kid, but as you can see, big Eagles fan. Did not deserve 10 staples plus sutures, brain damage and the long road of recovery he has now. His parents have filed suit but it isn't going to get him back to pre-head cracked in. Not sure how you can justify this crap over and over again.

The dude is giving himself, you kick him, he turns arounds and you charge him resisting arrest? In a sane world every single cop in that video should be fired for letting that happen and the guy who kicked him should be charged with assault. BS like this - no wonder there is no trust of cops in the US
