October 5, 20223 yr Been watching/listening to a couple of local TV stations down there. They are making progress getting power back, but Cape Coral is still showing 87K out. Geez! Water service also making some progress. It's just incredible to see both the devastation and survivors pulling together to get supplies, food and water to all these people. It's a week today and this will be needed for several weeks. They are letting residents of Sanibel on the island today if they have a pass and a way to get there. They are building a road for first responders only to get in and out of Pine Island. RSW has opened back up with a limited amount of flights in and out. Of course Uncle Joe flying into there today so that will hold things up this afternoon.

January 27, 20232 yr My two vacations last year were to the Poconos for a few days, and to Rehoboth Beach, DE, for 8 days. My wife and I are NOT big travelers.

Wife went to college there so she's been wanting to show me around her old stomping grounds. I know we're going to turkey hill brewing, and I think there's a couple townie bars she wanted to take me too. There's actually a semi decent chance we end up at a taco bell at one point too

Myers got Fed up, but things are opening up. Good call, it will probably be back in full swing next year. Sanibel wasn't too bad. The islanders were saying it was trashed but the rich folks had their properties cleaned up real quick. Money talks. I watched the sunset from the Mucky Duck patio with a beer in my hand so as far as I'm concerned the island was up and running.
