Procus Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Let's hope this doesn't become a lingering problem. The Eagles missed those two in the second half last week and it showed.
JamesK Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Injuries like these could torpedo the season.
birdman#12 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 It just makes sense to rest them......they were a little banged up last week and played. A few more days rest is good. 1
EazyEaglez Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Dickerson has been dealing with a foot problem since the Minny game. Slay came out the Minny game too, and he looked a bit slow against the Commanders, but that could be due to the fact he was going up against one of the faster guys in the NFL.
EaglesRocker97 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Thursday and Friday practice reports will be more telling. 1
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 At this point in the week I think it's something to note but not very overly concerned about. If they are still sitting out tomorrow and Friday then it's a bit of an issue.
brkmsn Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 This is why we have depth. We can rest guys at practice that are a little sore and keep their potential replacements prepared if needed.
Bwestbrook36 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 They didn't practice till Friday last week too. 4

It’s fine to say we have depth, but there is a significant drop off to the guys behind Slay. Dickerson has also been looking good for us as well. Regardless I think both players are going to play. 1

Yes, but to act like we can't survive an injury here and an injury there is to completely forget about 2017. It's one thing when you lose multiple starters in a position group (2020), but when you only need to fill one position and the rest of the position group remains healthy, it's easy to scheme to mitigate the "drop off." McPhearson has come in for Slay a couple times already and while he's not Slay, I didn't see a liability

McPherson is good in a pinch. He’s no Slay replacement.
opa-opa Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 With so much NFL parity these days, it almost comes down to who can stay the healthiest to win it all.

He’s no Slay replacement. I already said that. But if his opportunity gets here due to a Slay Injury, he'll gain game experience which is valuable for growth. Before we signed Nelson last season, McPhearson was penciled in as the CB2. Before we signed Bradberry this season, same thing. His time will come eventually. We don't yet know how that will pan out, but I'm not worried at this point.
Portyansky Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Would be nice to be up like 40p starting the 4th and rest our starters.
