SlimReaper4Six Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Free Agents next year are probably going to give us some real compensation picks. However some of these players need to be respected and given their flowers. Here’s my thoughts. Jason Kelce - if he wants to come back , he will be back and that’s a certainty. Howie, Jeff, and Nick all love this fat Batman. He’s the unquestioned leader on offense and deserves to do whatever he wants. If we win the Superbowl I believe he retires, if we make it feel in the playoffs or lose jn the SuperBowl I believe he will be back. He’s still healthy and dominant. As long as it stays that way I believe he will play. prediction , Eagles lose in the NFC championship game and he comes back for one more year. He won’t sign with any other team. Fletcher Cox - This year he is off too a hot start and doing well. He is no longer the 80% snap guy and that’s okay. He seems to be fine with it and he also gets veterans days alll the time. Something he probably won’t get anywhere else. We can’t afford to give him top money anymore so if someone offers him a giant deal I could see him leave. Prediction Signs with a playoff contender such as the Chiefs/ Steelers/ Rams Gives us a 3rd round compensation pick Brandon Graham - The 33 year old still is proving he can play with the best and continue to dominate games. Graham loves Philly and I don’t see him leaving us , unless he heads gone to Detroit and the show they are a legitimate playoff team. We don’t have much left at DE other than Sweat. Graham comes back to us for 1 more year and signs a 12 million dollar deal. T.J Edwards- has anyone progressed more than Edwards has? He has become one of the most reliable, durable, and relentless players we have. He is a excellent leader on and off the field. If anyone deserves a reward for development, it’s him. Nakobe will play next year but he will not take over for TJ. 3 years 16 million 7.5 guaranteed Javon Hargreave has been a pro bowl player here but for some reason this year his production in the run game hasn’t been too good. Javon is a excellent pass rusher and hard worker but I think Milton Williams and Jordan Davis can take his production over. Williams is a excellent pass rusher and a player you can move up and down the line. We have Marlon also showing excellent production and is developing nicely. I believe Javon will find a home somewhere else because his contract is going to be expensive. We get a 4th round compensation pick. Marcus Epps - I’m extremely happy with his play and he has earned a new contract. He may never be elite but one thing he is , is reliable and always around the ball. He is physical and a excellent athlete. He deserves to comeback another year as the starter. 1 year 4.5 million C.J Johnson - We traded for him and he has transitioned well as a safety. Epps and Johnson are a excellent tandem and have shown to be a reliable duo. A contract like Avonte Maddox has should be a good comparison to him. 3 years 22 million. Issac Samuelo - Jeff Stoutland loves him and he is one of the most versatile and underrated players on the team. One thing Howie will make sure is we have amazing line play. Issac comes back on a team friendly deal 3 years 16 million 6 guaranteed James Bradberry- man I love him and Slay together but unless he takes below market value I don’t see us being able to afford him again. Gets us a 4th round compensation pick Andre Dillard- he’s been hurt and hasn’t started in a while but he is still extremely talented and impressive. Someone is going to give him a Vatai type contract and make him a franchise LT Gives us a 4th round compensation pick Miles Sanders - I like Miles but I have never loved Miles. Sanders is a player who is going to get paid but we as a team can live without. I see us drafting a new starter next year gives us a 6th round compensation pick Kyzir White- the Eagles have a tough decision to make. White is very good and productive with us and is a perfect complement to TJ, however we have Nakobe Dean who has pro bowl potential behind him. White deserves a long term deal, I just don’t think it’s with us signs with another team - 6th round compensation pick. resign Opeta, Pascal, Toth, Gardner Minshew will get traded before the trade deadline in my opinion. What do you all think?
nipples Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Linebacker is tricky. White has played great early on. You’ve got Dean waiting in the wings but I don’t know how you justify letting White go to start him. Obviously there’s plenty of time for things to change.
D-Shiznit Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Too many good Linebackers... What weird universe have I stepped into... 2 3

I thought dean was going to be a middle linebacker?

What do you all think? Few things. Milton Williams has the potential to be an excellent pass rusher, through 3 games having zero sacks and 2 total career sacks doesn't make him one. I'm not sure Nakobe Dean has pro bowl potential. I'd like to think he does but so far he's struggled with the things that dropped him in the draft, getting off blocks. Agree with most every thing else.👍
eagle45 Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Getting a 3rd, three 4ths, and two 6th round comp picks would be an unprecedented NFL comp pick haul in NFL history for a thoroughly mediocre group of departing FA’s. In terms of draft value, what they’d actually get would probably be less than 25% of that.

Tough to see Dean being a better option than either of them if they keep playing like this. 1

birdman#12 Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 I think the eagles need to really make an attempt at keeping both Edwards and White if they continue to play at this level......And I think they need to find ways to get Dean on the field in certain situations.... Lock down the LB position for a few years.......it's been nice to see good LB play here. So much depends on how these guys continue to play throughout the year. Roseman has his work cut out for him.......if the saints pick ends up in the top 10 (hopefully top 5), that will give Howie loads of options. I think Bradberry and Hargrave walk in free agency due to high salary demands. Sanders is a puzzle......injuries vs production vs salary demands vs Replaceability.......who knows? Dillard and Minshew are trade candidates......but knowing that LT and QB were the 2 major positions that needed good backups during the super bowl run could make Howie think twice. I think Cox won't be resigned and Kelce will decide on retirement depending on how healthy he stays and how close the eagles get to the super bowl. Graham is playing like he'll earn another 1 year contract. Right now, I would rank the draft needs as: 1) CB or DE 2) DT 3) RB 4) G 5) S

I thought dean was going to be a middle linebacker? Dean projects as both a Mike and a Will. He could step right into either role in a pinch. If we were to extend Edwards and lose White in FA next season, Dean could fill White's spot and if Edwards were to get hurt, slide into the middle and let someone else play Will. Thinking about next year is part of Howie's job. I think we'd love to keep both Edwards and White based on their play this season, but both players will get significant pay raises next season and we'll need to be thinking of the other players that we want to keep around. Dean provides a much cheaper alternative to either and with a little playing time (experience), there probably won't be a drop off in performance.
