The life cycle of money

1. Collectible

2. Store of Value

3. Medium of Exchange

4. Unit of Account

We are now officially between 2 and 3. Fair value for something that is adopted as a medium of exchange for the world and has the greatest store of value properties of any asset ever is millions per BTC

A good "sell the news" event. It won't last imo. People will realize that a country literally went through with using BTC as legal tender

Way too much money leveraged. Had to clean the books. Over 2 billion liquidated today.

I have to be honest I'm not entirely sure what that means... People borrowing money to buy crypto and paying it back by selling off?

These new instruments popping up allowing for crypto lending at scale does concern me a bit in the sense that an already volatile market could be ripe for the conditions in which a large bubble could be formed before borrowers begin defaulting en masse. Players like blockfi are exposed in this scenario and with it could go the money many us have with them.

They can do that, but most likely they are playing with leverage.

Leverage is a part of every system, even more so in the stock market. I don't think it's any more noteworthy here

Eyes on the prize; Bitcoin is significantly more useful and valuable than gold and yet still significantly underpriced relative to it. What happens in between getting there is just noise

If someone thinks that Bitcoin is going to increase in value, then why on earth would they pay for something using Bitcoin instead of cash?

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/greshams-law.asp

That's a great point, and it's known as Gresham's law

The interoperability of Bitcoin to go to dollars and back, to be accepted, and to be borderless are all extremely important though. Sending BTC doesn't have remittance fees

Many people in El Salvador also don't have bank accounts, as well as 3 other billion people around the world. They'll gladly choose Bitcoin to do commerce and save in.

A 10% drop in crypto is normal. Noise

1. Buy Ethereum on an exchange (Coinbase works well)

2. Download Metamask. (Make sure you write your password down TWICE and store in different places)

3. Go to uniswap.org

4. Connect your Metamask wallet (you literally just have to press a single button to do it)

5. Send your Ethereum to your Metamask address

6. Swap your Ethereum for HEX

I'm a big fan of it, just was over 3000x a couple days ago. When PulseChain launches, it will fork Ethereum and every token that runs on Ethereum, so that includes HEX. So if you buy HEX before the PulseChain launch, you'll have your HEX that's on Ethereum's network AND you'll have the same amount of HEX on PulseChain's network. It's a big deal

"Why do I have to buy Ethereum to get HEX"

The easiest way to explain it is imagine Apple has a currency and you could only use that to buy anything on the app store. In order to have access to that ecosystem, Ethereum is what's used for it

So I threw a token amount into ETH and BTC when it dropped 10% a couple weeks ago, and they've been cratering the past 2-3 days. SHOULD I BUY MORE!??!!? YOLO!

September has always been a crap month and think we got a little downward movement before October.

If the market in general falters, it could carry over somewhat into the crypto space as people pull money out of risky assets and continue to seek safer options.

That's what I did on launch day and it's the greatest financial decision I've ever made lol

I'm doing that for PulseChain as well.. But a little more than play money this time
