I still own some which is currently up 70x, which would actually still be in the green when I first mentioned it in here 😘 HEX forked and now exists on two chains, Ethereum and Pulsechain. Numbnuts here is sharing only the Ethereum HEX chart, not the Pulsechain one that is up. The reason for the drop here is the HEX creator reiterated, like he has for years, that the fees are too high on Ethereum and they're lower on Pulsechain, so he thinks the Pulsechain HEX is better. And this is how the market decided to react. When you decide to fomo into Pulsechain HEX, let me know so I can sell some

What could go wrong Oh wait this already happened. SEC sues HEX founder Richard Heart for alleged fraud and unregistered securities sales Heart is accused of selling unregistered securities over a period of at least three years and misappropriating some of the funds raised on lavish spending. The SEC is charging Heart and PulseChain with fraud over misappropriating roughly $12 million of investor funds raised from selling unregistered crypto asset securities. According to the regulator, the money was meant to support the development of the PulseChain and PulseX platforms. However, Heart spent the misappropriated money on personal luxury expenses, including multiple sports cars, watches, and the world’s largest diamond — a 555-carat black diamond known as "The Enigma” that was rebranded as the "HEX.com diamond.”

Amazing How many other tokens are considered unregistered securities by the SEC and how did that play out with Ripple just recently?

So it’s a free option to me at this point. My point is more so the certainty with the crypto crowd. There are a LOT of things that can go wrong, but they don’t ever seem to acknowledge the risks.

I have said since $2000 that you have not taken into account the non 0 probabilistic outcome of what has transpired. An incredibly minor allocation would have been life changing. You never acknowledged that then

May 1, 20241 yr So what is happening here? Everyone said halving in April leads to new all time highs. Predicting 6 figure bitcoin in this cycle. 125k. 150k.... Instead it hit its ATH before the halving, and is now plummeting again. I expected to see a 35k bitcoin after ATH but I was expecting a much bigger pop first. Where is the rocket ship?

But following the last couple of cycles it'll go up for about 18 months or so after halving, and then lose about 75% of its value. Pretty safe to predict new all time high and then another plummet. I'm just finally building out a position and I'll be buying it regardless of price. I'm actually looking forward to the next low so I can be ready for the next halving 4 years from now.

If you're betting on it following a similar pattern, the law of large numbers makes it likely the high is still multiples of its previous cycle top, but less upside. The same with it setting a new low. But this past cycle was the first time the bottom was below the previous cycle's top and that took a madoff level of stealing. That also affected the cycle top too, as FTX wasn't actually buying Bitcoin with its user's deposits. Everything is multi factorial, so basing it off previous cycles won't tell the whole story. There are new participants in the market, and if we get a high degree of regulatory clarity and bigger companies or even countries choosing to hold it on its balance sheet this cycle, the probability that Bitcoin sets any type of similar low to previous cycles I think just doesn't happen. In this particular case, if it went to 400k for example and then sold off 70%, that would still be nearly double the price it is today. The people who make real money in Bitcoin and Ethereum are holders. They have a very long time horizon, 5+ years. That's the commitment needed to end up successful investing in this.

I think the smart play with these guys is to take some profits out and push into something else to be a bit on the safe side while you leave a bunch in on the roller coaster.

However, the chance that you're not gonna have a good time in crypto on a short term time frame is much higher than other investments due to the higher volatility

May 19, 20241 yr Wagmi Games will be one of the top web3 gaming tokens this bull run. Their team is top notch. Hoichi is a gateway bridging token that has the old Shib dev running it (Ryoshi). It will be more popular than Uniswap next year. Both have 100x potential. Check them out if you are bored.
