EAGLES ACQUIRE STAR PASS RUSHER FROM CHICAGO FOR MID-ROUND PICK, GRADING THE TRADE

Eagles GM Howie Roseman has done it again.

With the November 1 trade deadline approaching, the Eagles have acquired star edge-rusher Robert Quinn from Chicago in exchange for a 4th-round pick.

Quinn, 32, set a Bear franchise record last season with 18.5 sacks. The 3-time Pro Bowler has gotten off to a slower start this season, only recording one sack and three QB hits through seven games. It’s possible Quinn hasn’t been entirely motivated to play well for a bad Bears team.

Now joining a DL rotation consisting of Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat, Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Jordan Davis, and Brandon Graham, Quinn should flourish as a complementary piece and help fill the void left by Derek Barnett.

In addition, Chicago is also picking up most of Quinn’s remaining $7.9M salary in 2022. Philadelphia can essentially cut ties with Quinn for nothing after the year if he underperforms; well worth the risk of a 4th-rounder.

Looking forward to seeing him in an Eagles Jersey! Should be a lot of fun to watch.
