Good riddance. Sunk cost (a first!) but at least we were able to recoup a 3rd and 6th for a guy that's never going to play for us.

Is it just me that's surprised by this?

You shouldn't be surprised. They were talking about trading him away in the off season. This was a Gettleman pick. The new regime requires players to learn the playbook and not skip games because of a paper cut. He's also a complete idiot that's more focused on his hip hop career.

(watch, not he goes off for KC)

He was a complete nothing under 2 staffs in NY. He might turn into something in KC but its a good job of NY for getting a couple picks for a literal nothing.

Toney is the guy the Giants drafted after the Eagles moved up to snatch Devonta Smith up in the draft before the Giants had the chance.

Dude do you think we care about Devonta Smith? These knuckleheads were in position to draft Parsons or Slater.

But NY wanted Smith, and Dallas was all to willing to accommodate the Eagles to leapfrog NY

That sucks, was hoping the Giants would hold on to that bum for longer.

Sometimes you gain by subtracting.  The Giants are a better team without him in the same vein that the Eagles are better without Reagor.

Eagles aren't exactly in position to make fun of other teams for making a bad pick at wide receiver....

I’m going to say this and you guys are going to laugh, but Toney might have more raw talent and is definitely a more dynamic player than Smith. He has Deebo Samuel potential. But he’s a dummy and injury prone. Smith on the other hand is a true professional, a tactician on the field and durable. You draft Smith over Toney every time, but the Chiefs might be getting a really good player if they can figure him out.
