Once upon a time...you died.

Try to live and love a little before then.

I can happily say I can do that without magic.

I once paid a girl* 25 quid to thwack my nadgers with a cricket bat in an alley in Mayfair. Does that count?

*70% sure

If you want it to.

The collectivist ideologies — especially communism — have religion beat, merely for the fact that they not only claim atheism to be correct, but also make claims about the material world which are demonstrably falsifiable.

I used to have a Jack Russel named Kobe.  In my family room I had a desk, and a sliding glass door.  I would be on my laptop at the desk and Kobe would run over, raise up on his hind legs and punch my thigh with both paws, run over to the sliding glass door, and turn his head and look at me.  I'd acknowledge his look by looking back at him and return to work.

Kobe would repeat this routine, punching harder and harder on each return until I became the obedient pet and let him out.

Was Kobe talking to me by way of sign language?  I mean, there are those who communicate via sign language, besides, no one said the donkey was speaking Hebrew.

Point being, don't mock what you don't understand, concentrate on what's verifiable, namely, that Yahusha was/is the Promised Messiah.

I can't believe I missed this gem. I will continue to mock the BS in the Bible. That is literally one nonsensical story out of hundreds.

Atheism can be pretty wrongheaded, too. I don't think we can know any of these things with certainty.

True. But we can be fairly confident that we don't live in a 6000-year-old snow globe inhabited by magic donkeys and Palestinian zombies.

I wish more people could just say "I don't know" lmao.

Thankfully organized religion never does that.

Yeah, I agree. I’m pretty much an atheist myself — I guess technically agnostic because I don’t make a claim against God’s existence — but the real world impact of organized atheist ideologies has been uniquely horrific.

Atheism isn't a belief system, is is the rejection of the religions because no one can prove it to us that it exists.

I mean everyone is technically agnostic

Everyone is an atheist when it comes to Zeus.

I think.

Nah, lots of people make positive/negative claims about the existence of God/gods.

An atheist just believes in one less religion than you do.

I believe in the Zoroastrian god Uhura Mazda

Oh yeah, I agree. There's nothing "uniquely horrific" about what organized religion has done to the world since we see it over and over again.

If you can find me a religion that killed anywhere close to a hundred million people in a century, I’m all ears.

Nah, they believe in their own anti-religion.

I am totally not surprised that a resident of the UK would post something like this, you guys have had an anti-God stance for decades now but don't feel bad, the US is right on your heels.

Now continue with your worship of the writing of Charles Darwin.

Doesn't make the crimes committed in the name of religion any less true.

As in all the churches of the saints, 34 the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 35 And if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church.

Claims don't change the definition of being agnostic

a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God
