I'm willing to bet not a single head coach in the NFL looks at their team's schedule and says "that looks easy".......

You don't get players being quoted as saying "we have a weak SoS, so we should glide into the playoffs"

Especially given the Vikings are 7-1 and their ONLY loss was to the 8-0 Eagles.

Not that power rankings mean anything, but currently ESPN has Dallas 4th and Minnesota 7th. So according to ESPN, the Eagles "weak schedule” has included two top 7 teams, and they beat both.

I’m tired of the No Dak argument. They managed to go 5-0 with Rush outside of the Eagles loss. So they were good enough to beat plenty of teams with Rush at QB, but suddenly they lose to the Eagles and it’s an excuse.

Exactly.

I predicted it in the GDT.  When Rush was winning games the Cowboys fans were saying he should remain the starter, Dak hasn't gotten it done.  Once they were struggling against the Eagles, the Cowboys shifted the narrative to needing Dak and Rush is "just a backup."  They said if they had Dak, they would have won.  Even Collinsworthless on the broadcast was hyping up Dak big time saying they need him.  When the game was over and the Eagles won and remained undefeated, the first immediate thing Collinsworthless talked about was the Cowboys upcoming schedule and getting Dak back.

That's why I want them to destroy the Cowboys with Dak in December to make a statement.

Yeah but the Vikings game was at night and Dak didn’t play, so those don’t really count!

Yeah you’re right. Have to throw out all of the Rush games and only judge the Cowboys based on their record with Dak starting. So the they’re only 2-1.

Cooper Rush is 3-0 outside the NFC East. Dak is 19-27 outside the NFC East since Rush joined the Cowboys.

Dak is a mediocre QB who feasts on exaggerated mismatches. He is a slight upgrade on what Rush looked like vs everyone not Philly.

This year he was annihilated by Tampa. He was a complete joke. Now he beats Chicago and Detroit and he's some great QB?

He's a one trick pony. He kills the Giants and DC when they are down (which is most of the time) and he beats up on the Eagles ONLY when they have a mess of a defense. If you need one guy to go nuts vs a team resting their starters for the playoffs then Dak is your guy. Well half the time anyway. He scored 6 in 2017.

This is a guy who gets outplayed by Sam Darnold.

Dak has 1 win against a team with a winning record at the time in his last 20 starts, the 1-0 Chargers.

You have to go back to 2019 to find another one.

Rush and Dak both faced Cousins' Vikings in prime time. Only Rush won.

Sure they were ... 0-0.

At half time, I thought the Bills were comparable to the Eagles but then they lost to the Vikes.

Meanwhile the Cowboys lost to the 3-6 Packers with Dak.

Aided by two Dak interceptions.

Also, McCarthy is a moron for going for that 4th down in OT.

Go ahead and update Washington to 5-5 👎

Chiefs lost to the Colts, Bills lost to the Jets.

Teams lose games they should win it happens.

Exactly the way I am taking the loss ... took one on the chin, move on.

It's how they respond to that loss that is important now.  If they come out flat against Indy and struggle (or heaven forbid lose), I'll start getting concerned.  Gut feeling says they bounce back OK (**fingers crossed**).

Even after every win the coaches and Hurts have talked about how they need to be better and still have a long way to go. So I think it's the fans who were full of themselves not the players lol. Hence the overreacting to one divisional game that can always go either way no matter how bad the other team is.

I don’t think it was overconfidence, quite the opposite. I think they were playing tight with the pressure mounting to keep the undefeated season alive.

My expectation given how it seems the team's attitude and focus has been:  they come out strong against the Colts and get a very convincing win.  This game had almost everyone making mistakes. Kelce said it in this locker room interview, he said every player including himself made mistakes that contributed.  Missed blocks, dropped passes, turnovers, penalties.  It's like the sloppy game where all of that happened.

Probably good to get that out of the way.  I actually am glad it happened against a weaker team because it's easier to chalk it up to a fluke or one of those bad games, rather than losing to the Giants or Cowboys.

As you said it's all about what they do now going forward.

This is true. The team itself has not been cocky about it.  Media and fans say things like they were "smelling themselves" and "buying their own hype."  No, they weren't.  The team has always had a one game at a time mentality and talked about how to stay focused and improve.  Kelce was saying earlier in the year that if you lose focus and start thinking about being undefeated or the best team you will lose, you haven't won anything until you get into the playoffs and win games.

It's the media and the fans who hate Philly that want to make up these narratives.

It's quite simple now... Sunday is must win if we want to get the #1 seed. You can't lose back to back games with GB and Ten next up on the schedule. Nobody would be surprised if we lost both those games so we must win Sunday.

I would be hella-surprised if we lost to both the Packers and Titans.

I won't be updating anymore.  The undefeated angle is no longer relevant.

Just remember, there have been dozens of teams objectively better than the '72 Dolphins.  They just got lucky.
