No. They won't and I'm not sure they even can.

They could.  Patriots as of now are actually scheduled to play four straight prime time games starting with the Vikings Thanksgiving night (though their week 11 game with the Jets is also now a possibility to be flexed to SNF).

Only reason they may not do so with the Titans on back-to-back weeks as they are also a candidate for Week 15 SNF against the Chargers and they can only be flexed in twice due to their having TWO Thursday night games (Week 11 at Green Bay, Week 17 at home against the Cowboys).  Otherwise, they could have been flexed into SNF three times.

The Bengals-Steelers game has been replaced.

CBS chose to protect Dallas v Minnesota @ 4:25

This is what was expected in the first place.

It is awesome. Don't knock it until you experience it.

Different strokes for different folks. I lived on the east coast for over 3 decades and have loved experiencing football on the west coast. Love it starting at 10am. The only games that suck are the London ones. Those tend to be bad games anyway.

Not having to stay up late watching football is great. And getting up early on a Sunday to watch is no big deal.

Personally, I like having time on Sunday morning to do a few odds and ends before games, and I like that once football starts, it takes me right to bed time. On the East coast, we can get a small taste of early kickoffs with the 9:30am London starts. I’m personally not a fan of it starting that early. Different strokes for sure, but I prefer the eastern time zone schedule.

I am 48, and for about 3 years I have suffered from the old man waking up early disease.

When the game this Sunday kicks off at 6:30 am PST, I will probably have already been up for at least an hour, had coffee, and will have breakfast ready at kickoff.

Yeah, but can you get a six-pack in by then?

I do not drink beer before noon, but if I feel inclined, I can get a couple bloody mary's in with my breakfast.

I totally forgot about bloody mary's; haven't had one for years. Good (or bad, depending) idea! Searching ye olde computer now for a great recipe I had saved...

Found the recipe. Hilarious read, and a good Bloody Mary! Not sure I can post links here, but search this: "Here’s How to Make a F-ing Bloody Mary" . With the quotes, and spell out the naughty word. Article from Modern Drunkard Magazine.

They don't assign games entirely by conference anymore.

No problem.  It's a new era out there now that the digital players are in the space.  The networks and league engage in a lot of horse trading to make sure each game gets maximum exposure.

Just play the damn games when they are scheduled to be played!! Why is that so difficult, NFL?

I mean, how much $$ do you really need, Roger and the Owners?!?!

People may not want to watch a bad/meaningless game and want to watch a better game.

Are there rules as to how many times a team can get flexed into SNF?

If the Eagles keep the undefeated season rolling I wonder if the NFL just keeps flexing them.  They have what should be some great games down the stretch:

Titans @ Eagles

Eagles @ Giants

Eagles @ Bears

Eagles @ Cowboys

Eagles @ Cowboys already in prime time but the rest of those games could be prime time worthy with the undefeated storyline going if it lives.

Also Giants @ Eagles week 17 is absolutely getting flexed to SNF if the Eagles are 16-0 heading into that.  Interestingly enough, it was week 17 of the 2007 season when the Patriots played the Giants on SNF to complete their undefeated season.

With the Pack losing to the LIONS, the Cowboys probably wax them even in Lambeau next week and they are 3-7.

Colts are in total freefall and the Cowboys likely beat the snot out of them in Week 13 (after the Eagles do the same in Week 11).

Looking like Eagles next Sunday Night Game may be a week later than originally planned as I suspect Pack-Eagles gets flexed out in Week 12 (replaced by Bengals-Titans) while Colts-Cowboys (which has the makings of a 45-0 beating) in Week 13 likely also gets flexed out of SNF, replaced by Titans-Eagles.

Dude - may I suggest not starting a thread like this based on conjecture.  Wait until there's some hard info.
