Once the hamstring issues start to nag a player over 30, it’s time to hang up the cleats. 

I hate seeing this part of DJax's career.  He was so good & so electric early on in his career. Some guys don't know when it's time to walk away.

I had to check his stats - it's been 7 years (!) since he's been able to play without missing significant time (2+ games).  It's been almost a decade since he played all 16 games.

 

But but but, we needed him to be our return man!

Players will keep playing as long as a team pays them coin to do so.  It's up to the teams, not the player, to know when someone's career is through.  I don't fault DJax one iota for taking the Ravens' money
