Any reason why they didn’t sign him after losing Jordan Davis?

They were probably hoping Cox could take a bigger role in defeating blocks and commanding attention while Hargrave and Marlon did their thing. Unfortunately, Cox has been getting handled with ease, 1 on 1, by scrub backup guards. It’s plain to see.

So, we have no choice but to sign this old washed up dude to at least be some semblance of a physical presence in an interior defense front that has been tremendously disappointing.

A bunch of old heads! LOL

An area of need next season. Gotta go younger at some point.

Younger as in using their #1 pick to draft 22-year-old Jordan Davis?

In the past 2 drafts alone, they've invested 6 draft picks in the DL.  Problem is, they haven't picked the right guys.

Maybe he's not fat after all

Checked out his Instagram(BigGoon98). Had 2 surgeries recently and feels better than ever. Been in training for a few months and lost 30 pounds and then gained 10 pounds of muscle. This guy looks brut in workouts. I think he's gonna help against the run. Definitely looks fit, hungry and ready to play this Sunday. Gonna be good for the room.

So let’s hope he makes a difference.

Really needed to find another option. Not sure what he has left in the tank (Suh as well), but they have to try something else.

starting to get the feeling that the D line is our weakest link now and just full of old average players.

BG 34

Cox 31

Quinn 32

Joseph 34

Hargrave 29

Not great reading is it

Yeah that's concerning for sure.  Although I think Hargrave has played above average.

FO is panicking, because they know Gannon's D sucks. The writing is on the wall for Gannon.

Yes the young guys haven't shown much of anything.  3rd round Williams is now on the clock, 6th round soft USC DT too and the 6th round DE

from Coastal Carolina hasn't developed at all.  Guaranteed we have a DT & DE with 2 of our first 4 picks in April.

I still don't understand how you don't game plan to make a guy named Hiney something beat you. You had one job. Make that man carry his team. JJ would have had 11 in the box all game lol.

I have no clue who this dude is?

Well, at least HOWIE is trying. Gannon sure as heeellll isn't.

Time to fire Gannon if we still cant stop the run with all this beef up front...

Nah, jj's run defense was trash too till the super bowl year till we got trotter back

Sounds like a lot?

Who cares if he helps stop the run.

Who cares? If they signed him, they obviously have the cap space for it.

You're not following. JJ always found a way to take away a strength and dominated scrub QBs.

Joseph in an interview said... I even dropped back into coverage... Gannon when hearing that...💡

Defense had 1 TO, 4 sacks, 7 tfl,, 284 Total yds, 16 pts. Made plays when they had to get off the field.
