Jayden Reed (Michigan State WR) -- DRAFTED BY GREEN BAY #50

Jayden Reed is a very good deep threat WR with solid ability to go up and get the ball.

My interest in him though, is as a returner. He has a ton of special teams experience including returning punts AND kicks. We need a guy like that who can do both, effectively.

Im a fan of Quez Watkins. But his role on offense is almost non-existent. Reed can certainly fill his same role as the deep threat, and bubble screen guy. While improving our return game.

Went out and competed in a full workout with an eye infection at the combine. Like the attitude.

Hoped for a little faster 40 time. But even Hyatt and Zay Flowers couldnt crack 4.3. He is faster than Josh Downs which is solid.

4.45 is still fast enough to be a good deep threat.

In actuality all we need is for him to be an improvement over Quez. And the return game is a big bonus.

Yeah... this guy or Mims and I'm happy. Howie needs some trade downs for more picks though. Going to have to really hit on these selections given the cap situation. Also needs to load up with some talent that can play STs while they are being understudies.

Agree. Iike Mims. I have ignored him due to the last name. Last Mims was a Ben Simmons.

There are no blue chippers at WR.

Njigba looks like the only sure thing but he didnt have a good workout. So not a blue chip prospect. He doesnt check all the boxes. Just, still confident in him based on tape.

While there are no blue chippers, there are a bunch of role playing deep threats. Reed, Mims, Downs, Jarrett, Flowers, etc.

And there are also some height/weight/speed guys to roll dice on. My top one there is Demus.

Ya. Ideally they find some guys that can contribute on offense/defense as well as STs so we're not wasting roster space on specialists.I'd like them to take a shot in later rounds on the Princeton guy for height weight speed. Some good coaching could bring something out of him. He has all of the measurables.
