Posted November 23, 20222 yr EAGLES C JASON KELCE SET TO BREAK 60-YEAR-OLD FRANCHISE RECORD VS. GREEN BAY By Victor Williams November 22, 2022 All-Pro center Jason Kelce has a chance to break an Eagles record that has stood for 60 years. When Kelce suits up this Sunday, he’ll start his 133rd consecutive game, breaking the previous franchise record of 132 straight starts by Chuck Bednarik from 1949-1962. The 35-year-old has been the textbook definition of reliable, not missing a regular season game since Week 7 of the 2014 season. Kelce even argued against "rest days” in practice before the team’s strength coaches talked him into it. "I used to be firmly against this and I didn’t think – especially in a position of communication,” Kelce said on an episode of his New Heights podcast. "Part of my job is making sure everyone else is on the same page and everything is being communicated and everybody else knows what they’re supposed to do off that communication.” "I started doing it, and I’m not going to lie I felt much better on game days.” Following their comeback win over the Colts, Kelce and the Eagles face Green Bay on Sunday Night Football as they look to improve to 10-1 on the year. https://thelibertyline.com/2022/11/22/eagles-jason-kelce-break-record/
