Malcolm Jenkins (Retired?)

I say bring him in to play while CJGJ is out, and if he is playing at a high level you can bump Epps to the #3 safety spot when CJGJ is back.

Malcolm is not a FA. He is still property of the Saints. Which means he would have to unretire, come off the NFI list, then be released. Which he would be subject to the waiver wire 1st. Why would the Saints help us after getting fleeced for their 1st rd pick and CJGJ?

"technically the Saints have the rights to my contract...".  It sounds like he would absolutely suit up for us again if he were released by the Saints.  But like he said, that's probably not going to happen.

And he's right, we do love a good comeback story and I won't stop wishing this one happens.

Released by the Saints or if we came to some kind of agreement with them in a trade.  Not sure how that would work with the trade deadline having passed though and even if it was possible, not sure how much I'd be willing to give up.

Pretty slim chance - but I root for the Philly kids.

Indeed ... especially ones that ball the way he does.

We will be in need of a WR in 2024 as Watkins' rookie deal is up after 2023.

Brown / Smith / MHjr

Even if he were released by the Saints he’d still have to clear waivers. Knowing the Eagles technically have a need I could see a rival scooping him up so he couldn’t get to Philly  anyways. Not sure what he has left in the tank or if it would have been with all the trouble.m

Stop trying to rain on my parade, man.

You're right, of course.  He'd absolutely get scooped up by someone before he came here. I'm guessing Malcolm Jenkins realizes this, too.
