If he was placed for adoption then the birth family has little to no involvement. Back then not all adoptions were even legal - there were a lot of "under the table” adoption sales, unwed mothers sent to group homes and forced to hand over their children to married and respectable couples, or even family members stepping in and raising kids especially "illegitimate” children. There were also very negative attitudes towards health issues and cognitive concerns. Many kids ended up institutionalized or group homes. There’s just so much we don’t know about this which is why it’s gross that people run out and start harassing potential blood family members that may know nothing about it.

He was from W Phllly then moved to DelCo.....Age seems to work out. It’s not confirmed and there is too much not known to publicize this imo. It could be him but it could be one of his siblings too. Sometimes birth mom’s surname was used in an unwed mother situation. Augustus was also the patriarch’s name so the use of it could come from anyone in that family. This kind of stuff without knowing the actual details is how family members end up harassed.
