EAGLES INJURY REPORT: TWO RECEIVERS DEALING WITH GROIN ISSUES

November 30, 2022

Eagles

The Eagles have released their first injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup vs. Tennessee.

Wednesday Injury Report

  • S CJ Gardner-Johnson (kidney) — DNP
  • LB Patrick Johnson (ankle) — LP
  • WR DeVonta Smith (groin) — LP
  • WR Zach Pascal (groin) — LP

The Eagles held a walkthrough today, so the practice report is an estimation.

Gardner Johnson exited last week’s game in the first quarter with what Sirianni confirmed as a lacerated kidney. Philadelphia has yet to place their star safety on injured reserve.

DeVonta Smith has been banged up recently, getting medical attention in the each of the last two games. Pascal is a new addition to the report. TE Dallas Goedert spoke to reporters today, stating he expects to be ready to go once eligible to come off IR in Week 15.

Smith was on the injury report last week but at least both he and Pascal were LP not DNP.

I think they should look to use Pascal a little more inside and on screens. I know he's not as good as Goedert but I think he could play a nice role for this team. We need more of a physical presence in the middle of the field.
