I know the D-Line has been feasting this year, but I feel that Reddick has been the difference maker we needed.

9 sacks already, so should comfortably be our first rusher to go over 10 in a season for a while. He's also caused a lot of disruption and helped Hargrave, Cox etc get sacks because he is so quick off the edge and forces the QB to step up.

Great signing for us. Hopefully continues to be a wrecking ball as we move towards the playoffs.

Don't forget about his coverage skills ...

I think he's been fantastic. Seems like a great guy too

He's somehow the quietest impact player that doesn't seem to get attention.  TV announcers keep talking up Cox who hasn't been great for 3 years, BG who is still solid but no star player and they always bring up that 1 play in the Super Bowl 5 years ago.  But Reddick doesn't get the attention he deserves.

As a whole, the defensive additions have really made an impact. Reddick, CJG, Bradberry, Davis, even Blankenship as a UDFA stepping in.

He definitely needs to stay here 2-3 more years. Same with Hargrave.

Kind of surprised Hargrave hasn't been extended yet

I think he's a prime offseason extension... Get his cap number for 2023 down a little and tie him up for longer.

When they finally stopped trying to make this guy be a cover guy and finally just said go get the quarterback everything kind of changed. Going to get the quarterback is what this guy does best.

The d coordinator hasnt

He’s been a solid pass rusher. I didn’t understand at all why Gannon was dropping him in coverage the first couple weeks. He was brought in to rush the quarterback, not play pass coverage.

I’m kinda worried that like 75% of our defense are free agents.

Most teams are built like that. No reason to worry now.

Me too. But then again the right now matters most. And we do have premium picks too..

I think some FAs will want to stay. Money matters but that is good for us too.

The biggest worry is if we mess this up in the play offs. This team has a golden opportunity right now and they need to take it. Let's worry about the offseason when we get there... Hopefully with a SB victory in the bag.

Right now the 2023 cap would include $12M in dead money owed to him due to 2023-2025 void years that were added to the back end of his contract.  So if they were able to sign him to a new 3 year deal that would potentially lower that hit in 2023 and may be the best path forward (especially since he is still playing well).  But I do wonder if perhaps they are planning to let him walk since we drafted DTs early the past 2 years (moving up for Davis in the 1st in 2022, Williams in the 3rd in 2021) and may look to go DT early again in 2023.  We are going to have a lot of holes to fill and pay Hurts soon so not sure if paying a soon-to-be 30 year old is in the plans ... I guess it really all depends on who they prioritize getting signed to extensions (I would likely go Bradberry and/or CJGJ over him).  If he signed a lucrative deal elsewhere it would potentially set us up for a decent comp pick in 2024.

I'm not, when we have a new D Coordinator next year, you want players that fit his system!!! 🙂

Very underrated free agent addition. Everyone talks about the Brown trade as a major boost, rightfully so, but Reddick has made such a huge impact on the pass rush and it’s kind of gone under the radar.

He has provided quiet thunder. He has made timely plays and is very Wolverine like that he routinely goes against much larger opponents and still is able to take down his target.

Just a bump on this. Continued to be an absolute stud and will be a nightmare for Purdy and then hopefully Burrows or Mahomes.

Pound for pound he must be the best pass rusher in the league. What he lacks in size he makes up for in speed and agility . Must be an absolute nightmare to try and block

The Eagles have to account for Bosa, but the 49ers have to account for everyone. Should be interesting.

Very this

They have only 1 Bosa and 1 Trent Williams

Since people are questioning why we talk about the fringe players on our roster too much, I thought I'd revive a topic that is more deserving.

Aren’t you the same guy who criticized his coverage skills and his run defense? 😂🤣😂
