You could see he was Fed when he walked thru the door

LOL Ooook.

He'll come back in time for the playoffs and have a couple of key sacks. Hopefully.

Is it too late to ask for our 4th back?

The Andrew Bynum of the birds.

Well that was a wasted trade it seems.

Alas poor Robert, I never knew him Howie.

Well you win some you lose some. Seems Howie lost this one.

I'm not drawing any conclusions until this season is over, but he hasn't produced, and now he's hurt.  Let's hope he comes back and makes a big impact in the playoffs.

Was a bit of a strange trade tbh, good job the bears are picking up his salary or it would have been a bit of a disaster.

IR could be good for him, hopefully we see a different player after he's had some rest and got healthy.

I liked the move when we made it to acquire Quinn...thought a 4th was worth the risk for this season.  I became a little leary after hearing him speak after the trade...he sounded bummed.  He was talking about how hard it is to be uprooted in the middle of the season and leave his family, etc, which I get...but...he just sounded like he wasn't too thrilled with it.

Did anyone else pick that up from him?

I commented earlier (in a separate thread) about his desire to play here.  It is most unfortunate that players can't be vetted to make sure this wouldn't be the case prior to completing a transaction.  I believe if both teams are interested in making a deal to trade a player then there shouldn't be any tampering if you are simply making sure the player is OK with coming to the new team.  Who wants to swing a deal to add a player that has zero interest in making the move??

Agreed.  You'd think that would be a normal part of any deal.  If that didn't happen, then that's a pretty bad way of doing business.

Not for nothing but the guy walked in the door with one sack on the books. I don’t see this as that big of a loss really because my expectations for the player weren’t that high to begin with. With that being the case both Suh and Joseph have done more since they were picked up. So for those who are mad about the 4th just think of it as getting Suh, Joseph, and Quinn for a 4th. Totally worth it.

What are the chances he was damage goods before he got here... hmmm.

Suh, Joseph, and a 4th >> Suh, Joseph, and Quinn

But seriously, I understand wanting to bolster the pass rush considering the state of the team and wanting to go all in to maximize our chances at another championship.  And no matter how unlikely it may seem now, there is still a chance he returns for either the regular season finale (first game he is eligible to do so .. .see below) or the playoffs.  If he makes just 1-2 key plays in a postseason game that help catapult us to a W then it will have made it worth the 4th.

I know what he did the year prior, but for some reason he really struggled this season. Hopefully when he comes back he will be ready to go for the playoffs. Too bad we won’t have CJG for the Cowboys game.
