We gotta do it. Vikings are a completely different team out of the dome. Kirk will crap his pants here.

just for sh*** and jiggles if Dallas loses against the Jags and we win against the Bears.... then Xmas eve means?

In this scenario, if the Cowboys win Xmas Eve, there’s the outside possibility we could still both finish 13-4, and they would win the division with a better division record.

Hopefully Jacksonville handles Dallas.  I have a feeling it'll be a close game.

The focus now is the Bears. Just beat the Bears.

If Dallas and Philly finish with the same record overall and within the division and split their series. Who does the tie breaker go too?

I don’t think the scenario you’re asking about is possible. It would mean that Dallas has to lose to Washington and beat us, while we lose to Dallas and beat the Giants...and then have the same record.

Hmmm, okay, maybe if we lose our next three and win the finale against the Giants and finish 13-4. And Dallas wins their next three and loses to Washington and finishes 13-4. Split with each other, split with Washington and sweep the Giants. Okay, that checks out. It would then come down to common games. It would mean we both went 3-1 against the NFC North. We’d both be 4-0 against the AFC South. So common games would be even. Conference would be even because they lost to Tampa and we’d be losing to New Orleans. Then you’d look at strength of victory. You add up the total wins of everyone you beat.

They beat Cincy and we beat Pittsburgh. Big edge to Dallas on that one. We beat Arizona and they beat the Rams. Roughly even. So that would give the tiebreak to Dallas because Cin+LAR should have a bigger win total than Pit+Ari.

The only way this scenario plays out involves us losing to both the Bears and Saints. Hard to see that happening.

The Saints game, a double double.....need to beat them for Playoff positioning and Draft positioning!!  Add in...I just hate that franchise, city and fan base.

Upon reflection while I was trying to get to sleep, I realized I overlooked something with this scenario, and that is the Packers and Bears. We beat the Packers and Dallas beat the Bears. So those win totals would need to be included. You’d add Cincinnati and Chicago and the Rams for Dallas. You’d add Green Bay, Arizona, and Pittsburgh for us. Whichever team has a higher number of wins gets the tiebreak.

Being as healthy as possible in the playoffs is a lot more important.

Not losing your edge is also important.  You can't have the  starters rest for 3 weeks.  Which is what would happen if they sat the starters in the Saints game.

nothing. But we still need to beat either NO or NYG.

I agree with everything up until city and fan base. I like the city. And when I was there, the eagles got absolutely pummelled, and nobody gave me crap lol

The magic number is three, I’m pretty sure.

If Dallas loses to Jax its any 2 games remaining.

That still means it’s 3. Magic number is Eagles wins + Dallas losses. Beating Dallas would check both boxes.

I think the bye week could be even more important to get people healthy but the Vikings loss helps give us some margin of error for that.

That f'ing Dallas win was huge yesterday for them

If we go 2-2 but lose Christmas eve, we do not get homefield if Dallas wins out.

We need 3 wins for homefield, or 2 including Dallas

this is ridiculous 🤣 why is the nfce so good the year we are ballin and we have to worry about losing 1st seed especially with dallas....we get screwed anytime we need to deal with dallass when its playoff implications or playoffs recently it seems.

Curious if Nick would sit the starters until playoffs once we clinch 1st seed

Nah, it goes back and forth. December 2019 was Probably Doug and Carson’s biggest regular season win here

I'm starting/playing the starters the entire Saints game and maybe the first half of the Giants game. If you rest them the Giants game, that would be 2 weeks of rest. I don't want them coming out rusty and out of sink that first po game

I hope not. For one, we can help ourselves beating the Saints. Further, I’m not comfortable sitting the starters for 3 weeks before the playoffs. I know we did in 2004, but that team was more playoff battle tested. I don’t mind sitting out the Giants game, but at least fight against the Saints.

I want to win 7 of the next 7 games to win Championship #5, Lombardi #2.
