December 12, 20222 yr Quote Siposs was seen with a walking boot and crutches in the postgame locker room. Without Siposs, receiver Britain Covey handled field goal holding responsibilities and kicker Jake Elliott was the punter. Elliott’s one punt went 35 yards and Covey’s holds all went well. https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/eagles-injury-update-lane-johnson-abdomen-injury Not good. I don't know who they could get off the street at this point in the season. Waiting for the sign Araiza thread.

Eagles brought in a USFL punter for a workout last month - Brock Miller. If Siposs can't play, the team probably brings him in. Doubt the team wants to disrupt its chemistry over a punter and doesn't seem like the type of baggage Lurie would allow for the team to carry. As for the Blakenship injury, it's big. Anthony Harris wasn't brought back for a reason. I suspect the team will stay in house and promote the next man up pending recovery of Blankenship and CJ

I don't think it would be the same situation. And FWIW, NFL players have been known to play through sports hernias.
December 12, 20222 yr Author Wonder if Howie makes a call to Harris? I think we can survive Chicago. Wonder if CJGJ will be available against Dal.

I remember back to Duce Staley who played an entire season (I believe) with a Sports Hernia..and cemented his legendary status...

December 12, 20222 yr At this point they have playoffs clinched, just need to work for that #1 seed. Goedert coming back, Davis is back and getting back into the mix. Lane Johnson is fine. Safety is the concern, they will have to manage until Blankenship and CJG come back. I'm not as concerned about punter as much, they'll get a replacement but hopefully they won't be punting very much. They can just score on 4th and 7.

Siposs wasn't even putting up great numbers at punting. I think a replacement will be fine. It's his job at holder that concerns me more. Covey seemed to do a fine job, so I'm not too worried.
December 12, 20222 yr Didn't that Bills punter controversy end with zero charges and he is pretty good? Sign him.
