There has obviously been a bunch of them over the years and since we are nearing the game (also to take some of the focus off the recent events with the Eagles injury situation) I thought we could take some time and reminisce on some of the past beat downs of the Cowboys. From games with names to win and you’re in scenarios, there are plenty of memories to go around. I wouldn’t call this my favorite one, (it’s up there though) but stopping Emmit Smith on 4th and one twice. It was everything wrong with the Cowboys. Being smug enough to go for it inside their own 30. The refs giving them a do over even though it looked like they got the play off before the two minute warning. Finally too arrogant and dumb to realize they should just punt after the NFL gift. Anyway that’s my memory. What’s yours?

That games we had to win to get in and blew the doors off them 44-6

44-6

Will always have a special place

The heavenely stars aligned

And then those blue and silver stars got curb stomped

The goal line stand against Emmit. I was a kid and I remember it like it was yesterday.

The ones mentioned above, and way to many to choose from. I liked the fun that was the Pickle Juice game. Buddy was a fun idiot.

I don’t remember a goal line stance against Emmit. I remember a James Willis interception that he lateraled to Troy Vincent (I think) for a touchdown, and of course there was the seven stops at the goal line agains the Cardinals too.

The James Willis INT in Dallas in 96 is up there because it was my first time seeing them win in Dallas. 44-6 would be higher though because I was there, and that game was played on my 1 year anniversary.

There’s so many ones. I knew 44-6 would be high on the list for everyone, but they’re a lot of them. Many we have forgotten. I kind of recall Lito Sheppard being a bit of a cowboys killer too.

Even though I was very young, I can remember the Wilbert Montgomery TD run in the NFC championship game in 1980.  Just loved the Eagles beating Dallas in the ultimate high stakes game they could ever play in.

I was five when that happened. I remember that play and I remember screaming out of my parents window "We’re going to the Super Bowl!”

A) the James Willis INT and lateral to Troy Vincent for the TD. was amazing to see Ray Rhodes after the game with tears as he wanted that game so badly

B) 4th and 1 (x2)

C) 13 second McNabb

You don't remember when they had to stop emmitt twice with 1 yard to go for the cowboys?? Shame shame hand in your fan card! Lol

That wasn’t a goal line stand, and that’s the memory I referenced. 😂

Madden’s "That’s unbelievable!” was classic.

44-6, and the Bounty Bowl.

Lito Sheppard Beats Dallas 102 Yard Interception Return.  It was the game TO played for the Cowboys and first game back in Philly.

Video breaking it down and setting up the backstory:

Wilbert Montgomery rushing TD against Dallas to win the NFCCG and go to their first Super Bowl.

44-6 is special, but the 1980 NFCCG was the day I became an eagles fan.

Favorite game was 44-6. Favorite "moment” was Lito’s 100+ yard pick-6

Same season Jeff Garcia beats them in Dallas on Christmas day

#1 -  44-6 whooping

#2  - TO returns, Lito Sheppard pick 6 for the win

Consider this... he must have scrambled for over 50 yards before throwing this.  That takes a TREMENDOUS amount of energy and power to do this.

SUPAFIVE!!!

Yeah, Dallas is so hated, that most any win over them is memorable.

1980 NFC Championship Game.
