This is just a way to keep him around for one more offseason.

December 25, 20222 yr He's still young, fast, versatile, but he does get hurt a lot and hasn't done much on the field. He's cheap. I keep him for a long time because keeping him doesn't seem to hurt anything at all. I would like to see him out there getting targets when he can play, but Goedert is a star and Stoll and Calcetarra both look solid and have played TE before. I'd keep him while he's cheap and he's cheap now, so, putting him on IR is ok by me. He has the high ceiling like Logan Thomas, who had 3 years as QB, practice squads, then 3 years as ok as TE for Bills, Lions, before 2020 and the Redskins and 72 catches. Very similar to Tyree.
