Why the Eagles are more of a threat in the NFL after loss to Cowboys

It may sound crazy at first, but the Philadelphia Eagles are only more of a threat to win it all now after their loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Yeah, it sounds crazy. How can a team be more of a threat after losing a game the way they did? Well, here is how.

Let’s just start with the same thing that everyone is thinking. The Philadelphia Eagles had a few leads of 10 points during this game but still ended up losing.

A team that does not turn the ball over like that, had four in this one game. I mean, this team at one point had one of the best turnover differentials through eight weeks we had ever seen. They turn it over four ties and we still expect them to win? Not in the NFL.

They nearly beat the Cowboys without their best player, most important player, and current MVP candidate in Jalen Hurts. In fact, they almost beat the Cowboys with a guy who hadn’t started a game since last season.

So, there is all that. But there is also one other big reason the Eagles are an even bigger threat now. When this team loses, they only bounce back better.

"Yeah, we’ll correct all the mistakes we made in this game because we made plenty of them. Playing, and coaching, we made plenty of mistakes that we’ll learn from. That’s what I love about this team is that we’ll learn from our mistakes, and we’ll just crave to get better,” head coach Nick Sirianni said after the game.

If I’m the rest of the league, that would scare me. This team can be better? After scoring 34 points, they can be better? Absolutely.

They crave to get better, he said. That right there is a scary sight for a team that is in its second true year of competing. They went from barely making the playoffs last season, getting blown out by the Buccaneers, to scoring 34 points against the Cowboys in a loss, but walking away still the number one seed in the NFC, and a team that poses only more of a threat.

This team is crazy, and when the playoffs get here, everyone else will see it too. They will learn from this, and they will get better.

Their first loss of the season came to the Commanders, who ran all over them. Guess what? In the next three games against the league’s best running backs, they shut down Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, and Saquon Barkley.

This team is built different, and they do learn from their mistakes and they learn quickly. Let’s see how they come out next week against the New Orleans Saints.

Time to dial it up again.

I would be ok with a 5 game winning streak.

And the "post of the week" award goes to ... ^^^

If that ugly loss provides the kick in the pants needed to propel them to another parade down Broad Street then obviously it will have been well worth enduring the suffering (I hate losing to Dallas more than any other team).
