FORMER COWBOYS TE TURNS BACK ON DALLAS, WORKS OUT FOR EAGLES AHEAD OF PLAYOFF RUN

Following their loss to Dallas last week, the Eagles may be looking to sign one of their former tight ends.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Philadelphia hosted free agent TE Blake Jarwin for a workout on Tuesday:

Jarwin, 28, spent five seasons in Dallas before an ACL tear in 2020 derailed his career. During the ’18 and ’19 seasons, Jarwin caught 58 passes for 672 yards and 6 TDs. The Eagles just got top pass-catcher Dallas Goedert back from injury, but Jarwin could serve as additional depth on the practice squad.

Current Eagles TE depth chart
  • Dallas Goedert
  • Jack Stoll
  • Grant Calcaterra
  • Tyree Jackson (IR)
  • Noah Togiai (PS)

As for Dallas, they continue to kick the tires on wide receivers. After flirting with Odell Beckham Jr., they briefly entertained the idea of signing HOF WR Terrell Owens. Sounds desperate if you ask me.

After the Terrell Owens news, and after reading the headline, I was expecting that Jason Witten wanted to be an Eagle...

Yeah I half expected that too.

We know Howie does his due diligence on players but I'm not sure this one will go anywhere.
