Did they try unplugging the router?

I was trying to call a buddy (about 2 hrs ago)and the call wouldnt go through.   Just kept dropping off before the 1st ring.  
 

apparently nobody could contact him for like an hour.  But he could text.  
 

strange.  Wonder it was related to this

My wife and I had exactly that same thing over the weekend.

Should I not do this iOS update?

As long as the EMB still works...

T-Mobile US Inc. is grappling with a major service outage affecting thousands of customers in several states and is working to fix the problem, according to network chief Neville Ray.

The company said it hopes to have the service restored soon. The problem comes a few months after T-Mobile acquired Sprint Corp. and became the second-largest U.S. wireless carrier in terms of regular monthly subscribers.

"Our engineers are working to resolve a voice and data issue that has been affecting customers around the country,” Ray wrote in a tweet. "We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have this fixed shortly.”

Feel for the cheap F's that decided to go all 4/5G SD-WAN. Today was a bad day for them.

My wife and I had a similar problem a week or so ago. Whenever we got those bad storms on a Wednesday in the philly area. I could talk and text with other people but she couldn't get anything to go through. We assumed something happened from the storm. Maybe china sent the storm over us and they're out to get us now.

those are just the origin points.

my guess is that spreading out an attack across so many geographic zones makes it more difficult for targets to just block whole sections of the web by geography until they get a handle on things.

if all the attacks were originating from say Estonia, and T-Mobile just decided "block Estonia", it wouldn't be a big deal. its a lot harder to block from large numbers of IP addresses scattered all over the globe.

Probably, I was having the same issues. Could text but calls would either never go through or ring once or twice before dropping
