Whoever is responsible for Hurts not starting today needs to be held accountable!!!!!!!!

This was a very winnable game with Hurts starting!!!!!!!!! Now, either Hurts plays next week or someone needs to be held accountable by getting fired (whether it's Sirianni or someone else)!!!!!!!!!! They'd deserve a beating as well!!!!!!!!

All week we heard Minshew is good enough to beat the Saints. I feel they played this a little too cautiously with Hurts not starting today but no excuse why he couldn't go next week based on "how good" he looked this past week in practice.

If he wasn't healthy then he shouldn't have played...

there's a difference between playing hurt and injured. Going into this game I'm pretty sure we all thought to ourselves Minshew was good enough to get this W

I think they just looked past this game like it would be a cake walk. Now they have to win next week. And at the rate they are going and how they look I don’t believe it. The Giants would love to stop the Eagles from winning the division and getting the #1 seed.

Like I said in GDT....

Minshew was horrible today and the way he played last week gave the Eagles false confidence for today.

He should have played last week and already been  a week into a month long resting period with the rest of the key players (like Sweat).

in before the move

Are you a doctor that has examined Hurts or something?

I wanted Hurts to play today.

Pretty sure the Giants are locked into their spot. They’re probably resting starters. Should be a cakewalk if they do.

How do you hold an injury accountable?

If they had a game plan and their coach was able to get his team up for a critical game , there was no reason to start Hurts. We’re a better team than the Saints, but that was not the case, because of Siri and Steichen’s ignorance and grade school coaching.
Minshew was bad, but Steichen failed play-calling on so many levels today.
You run to set up the pass. You can run on the Saints. You did the exact opposite and made a struggling one dimensional back-up QB, struggle even more.

And the constant obsession with playing zone defense when they have proved time after time that this is not a zone D team…the numbers for QBs playing against our zone defense are obscene!

Nothing is a cakewalk with the Birds. Everything is gut wrenchingly complex and uncertain - always.
The Gints have the benefit of resting their starters while we have to struggle with our less than 100% starters against their back-ups.
And we will struggle.

It’ll be a struggle and likely a dog fight no matter what. These division games always are.

Surprise, Saints have a pretty good defense. Better than the Cowboys' actually

so true, my old man used to always say to me as a kid "are you hurt or are you INJURED". if youre hurt walk it off, if youre injured hospital it is

No we won’t. It will be like a couple of years ago when the Cowboys played us in the last week, We got destroyed. The Giants will get destroyed if we play their backups.

Dead wrong. We blew their starters out the first time we played. It will be much worse against their backups.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Was a completely different Eagles team when they played the first time.

You did play out backups the first time. We were missing something like 10 starters. But yes, next week we’ll rest any critical or injured players.

That’s a little bit of an exaggeration but all teams are missing starters at this point in the season. Your core guys played that game and you got wrecked,

Yeah, start Hurts even if he isn't totally healed. Who cares if it makes his injury worse?
We want immediate gratification, not a healthy long term superstar QB.

And we had no reason to expect Minshew to play better than he did today, after all
he absolutely sucked last week against the cowgirlz.

And with our stellar playcallers Hurts would be fine. It's awesome how they'll keep running the ball
with Sanders 3 or even 4 times in a row, with diminishing yardage on each subsequent run.
That takes a special kind of genius with a ton of imagination. It works so well they should
consider handing it off to him 10x in a row. That'll really confuse the defensive line.

And oh yeah, you gotta love when the QB fakes a hand-off to a RB who then blasts empty-handed
past the marker to gain while the QB gets stonewalled. It was the one time that Minshew looked
like Hurts today.

So yeah, let's get Hurts in there yesterday and keep him in no matter how beat up he gets.

He might have been if he was put in a better situation the first 3 drives. They got in a hole and then he had to pass against a good team who took away their strengths. Don't get me wrong he sucks and I hope he takes his bus and gets the freak out of town, but the coaching staff didn't help him either. He freaking sucks...which is another reason they should have run the ball more.
