Posted January 7, 20232 yr Week 18. The final week of the regular season. There are 2 Saturday games with 14 Sunday games. No Monday night. The Chiefs now know they control their own destiny and a win against the Raiders on Saturday gives them the 1 seed. The winner of the Titans Jags game Saturday night wins the AFC South and go to the playoffs. The Eagles will try for the 3rd time to get a win and secure the division and get the 1 seed in the NFC. The Giants are locked into the 6 seed and may rest some key starters. Tampa who won the NFC South last week go on the road to play the Falcons. The Patriots need only to win to clinch their 13th playoff berth in 14 seasons. New England can also clinch a spot should the Dolphins and Steelers lose, and Jacksonville beats Tennessee. They play the Bills who had a rough week with what happened to Damar Hamlin really glad to hear he is improving dramatically. The Vikings go to Chicago to play the Bears. The Vikings are no longer able to get the 1 seed. If the Ravens complete the sweep on Sunday, the Bengals would still win the division, based on having a higher overall winning percentage. A game where both teams are out of playoff contention, the Texans go to Indy and play the Colts. Miami can make the playoffs with a win over the Jets in Sunday’s regular-season finale, coupled with a New England loss to Buffalo. Carolina goes to New Orleans and plays the Saints. A Saints loss will help the Eagles draft pick. Pittsburgh (8-8) needs a victory over the Browns (7-9) and losses by Miami and New England to reach the playoffs for a third straight year. An AFC west matchup where the Chargers will be heading to the playoffs while the Broncos will be playing their last football of the 2022 season. The Cardinals play the Niners from San Fran. A Niners win and an Eagles loss and the Niners get the 1 seed. For the Seahawks to make the playoffs, they need to beat the Rams at home next weekend, and they also need a Lions win over the Packers or a tie between those two teams. The Dallas Cowboys could still win the NFC East if they beat the Washington Commanders in Week 18 and the Eagles lose to the Giants. The Green Bay Packers know they will reach the postseason if they win Sunday night. The Detroit Lions’ playoff prospects are a little more complicated. Even if Detroit (8-8) beats Green Bay (8-8), the Lions can reach the playoffs only if the Seattle Seahawks (8-8) lose to the Los Angeles Rams (5-11) earlier in the day. A victory by the Seahawks would eliminate the Lions.
January 8, 20232 yr Jags! That's pretty cool of Doug to take the team from 1st overall pick to playoffs in his first season there
January 8, 20232 yr This Giants-Eagles game is such a letdown. Really wish we had something to play for. I wait all year for these games.
January 8, 20232 yr Props to the Bengals. Going for 12 wins after an 0-2 start against an absolutely killer schedule.

January 8, 20232 yr Yeesh, the Titans were once 7-3. Finished 7-10. Lost their QB though, and lost to a bunch of playoff teams. Congrats to Doug and the Jags!!!
January 8, 20232 yr Panthers beat the Saints 10-7. Their QB was 5 for 15 throwing the ball, for 45 yards, with 2 INTs. That tells you how AWFUL the Eagles played last week against the Saints. SMFH.

I wonder if they just weren’t thinking in the moment, and realized afterwards that maybe that wasn’t the right celebration for the current moment?
