Ok I’m done with leasing equipment from comcrap.  It’s been a long time since I looked at any of this stuff and my head is spinning. 
I know docsis 3.1 is the way to go.  I just so t know if I want or need a combo router/modem or separate.  I currently have blast speeds from comcrap and I would likely upgrade as I need to rebundle anyway.  I do ps4 occasionally (cod or nhl or madden mostly).  I work from home even with no covid so I need good stuff not cheap crap.  I’m not looking to spend a fortune nor rewire.  
 

help me out!  

I went with netgear cms1000 modem and nighthawk router about 3-4 years ago. I have been absolutely satisfied so far.

I got the Orbi Mesh Network and happy with it in a townhouse
