January 23, 20232 yr The Cowpokes made Purdy look like a rookie last night with all the pressure. Will we be able to do the same? And if you shutdown their run game their offense pretty much becomes non-existant. They won last night because Pollard got hurt and the one lucky catch by Kittle.
January 23, 20232 yr I’m worried as usual. But whenever I have a bad feeling the Eagles come out on top. So I’ll just keep thinking the worse if it means they’ll win.
January 23, 20232 yr I think these Eagles will keep their poise. It'll be daunting for the Niners to have to fly out east and play in a hostile, hardened stadium. Hat's off to Purdy, Kittle and the rest of the team, and I give them my respect unlike the Vikings and their fans in 2018. I just think this Eagles team has the upper hand and can outlast the Niners in a slugfest.
January 24, 20232 yr Author The line bumped up to Eagles -3 for a bit then moved back to -2.5 this morning. Moneyline and total remain steady. An interesting development over in the AFC where Cincinnati is now a 1.5 to 2 point favorite over Kansas City. The cynic in me says Vegas knows something about Mahomes' injury that the public does not. Edit: the total in Niners/Eagles is inching up. It's now at 46 with a smattering of 46.5 out there.

The money is flooding in on CIN, but in all honesty, it could mostly be because they've beaten the Chiefs the last two times even when Mahomes wasn't hobbling around. But now when you add the imagery of Mahomes getting folded up on top of that, easy to see why squares would be willing to plop down money on the team that just barely lost in the most recent super bowl and also happens to have KC's number.

Agree that Mahomes injury must be much worse. Even still, he played well enough last week to beat the Bengals imo. Strange

If any team can legitimately complain about a lack of respect it's the Bengals. Defending AFC champions and the best team in the AFC, maybe even the NFL, the last half of the season. Still, the Chiefs getting points at home with Mahomes starting is not something you see much. If ever.

Chiefs and Bengals fans are a tiny sliver of the overall action this game will take in. But even so, they probably know just as well as anyone, that the Bengals aren't to be taken lightly.

Normal home team line is -1.5 these days. It used to be -3. Probably something to do with teams being more aggressive and going for it more on 4th down.

Hottest team in the league with the hottest quarterback in the game.
January 25, 20232 yr Normally I stress all week about upcoming game, but I honestly think Eagles should win easily. Defense needs to not miss tackles and rest of team play as well as they usually do and we should have multi score lead at half. All of this confidence is based off of our stadium being deafening and our dline just terrorizing Purdy all afternoon. Need to keep eye out for quick slants and screens, but I think Gannon will be all over that.
January 25, 20232 yr If our defense, which is better than Dallas, can do what Dallas, we will win this game. Dallas lost because of 2 turnovers giving SF a short field. That's pretty much all their points, right there. I'd run the ball as much as possible. When the load the box to stop it, deep balls to AJ and DS.
January 26, 20232 yr I'm cautiously optimistic, but weird upsets have happened in NFC championship games before, like Atlanta in 1998 and those Giants Superbowls. But my guts are just telling me that the 49ers have been a paper tiger for the last few months, and the Dallas game kinda exposed them. Their fans seem very confident but I wonder if the players themselves feel the same way. They were lucky to win last week and they know it.

I saw some YouTube comments yesterday on an NFL live video w 49ers fans predicting like 38 - 13 and stuff. They bout to get their feelings hurt
January 26, 20232 yr No clue what’s going on with the Chiefs/Bengals line. Chiefs now favored in certain places. They were getting as many as 3 points just 36 hours ago. Meanwhile, our line is still holding steady at -2.5.

January 26, 20232 yr That video above. The guy who posted it...wasn’t he the news anchor from the midwest (was it Tulsa?) who broke down in tears while on the air when announcing that the Eagles had won the Super Bowl? You’ve all seen that video, right?
