Obviously score more points...

This will be the olines best competition. I feel we win this battle. SF hasn't been great against mobile QBs. Hurts needs to protect himself when he runs, SF flies out there and are hard hitters. Personally I don't think the WR screen game will work as well as it did against NYG. Would love to see RB and TE screens.

Ps. I hope we start with the ball on O

Get the most beautiful and mellifluous offensive line in football moving up front, move Brown and Smitty around, find the weakness in the defensive look and exploit it. Stiffen the sinews and summon up the blood!

Try and throw away from Warner and Ward. Nullify Bosa as much as possible and we should be good.

Got to be smart and got to be patient. Get the right balance with the run game even if they do a good job against the run and look after the football.

Yep.  Do not give up on it early.  Keep pounding them up the middle.

Just stay true to the run otherwise that DL will tee off on Hurts and force him to potentially make mistakes.

They only have one player with more than 5 sacks. And their 3rd top sack getter (with a whopping 4.5) just got arrested for domestic violence.

They had 44 sacks. Way closer to the Eagles of last year (29) than the Eagles of this year (70).

I agree. Or oline is better than Dallas. I believe Bosa was blanked. I feel we will be fine. Aside from their LT Williams, I think our dline should make Purdy uncomfortable.

Establish the run. Inside and Outside.  If they camp out and key on the QB/RB option, throw that quick slant to AJ or Gogo in the middle.

Not a fan of the WR screen but I LOVE forward moving WR and RB screens? Why?  Because of the forward movement it makes it harder to simply crash on in on it.  Easy to overrun the forward screen.  Forces the LBs to hold a tick and that favors us for 2nd level blocking.

Take the long shots. Every damn time we get a chance give me some intermediate to long throws.

Gogo over the middle and on the edges should be very effective once the LB moves up to key on the RB/QB option.

I feel like Devonta and his precise routes are going to find space in the intermediate game.

Saw on here the idea that our speedsters may keep them honest and force them to back up the top of the D.  That would make life much easier for Devonta.

Get Goedert, Smith, and Brown involved early. Run plays that will force Bosa to either crash down on the back of cover Jalen on the run. Play downhill and attack their line with the run game before the second quarter. Do not turn the ball over. On at least two 2nd and short plays attack the defense downfield with a deep pass. Watkins hasn’t been utilized lately so he should be open. It’s going to be a slugfest so be patient, with long drives when needed.

Yes.  Scheme these Niners and try to use their strengths against them.

Dont turn the ball over.

When you get into the red zone, you need to score.

Avoid negative plays.

Basically get points on the board however and whenever you can. I dont think you need to score a ton of points to beat the 9ers.

That’s what I’m saying about Bosa. Run your options at him and let him choose whether he takes the RB or stays with Hurts. That’s how they basically nullified Micah

The 49ers play a lot of zone.  This game on offense is gonna be a Brown/Smith game with some Goedert sprinkled in for key plays.

Have to neutralize Bosa, I think they move him around.  If they put Bosa over on Mailata's side, that could be some trouble.  Hopefully Mailata is up to the task.  And hopefully Johnson stays good....that should be a good battle right there, a gimpy Johnson vs Bosa.

Just don't turn the damn ball over please.

Whatever everyone else said

Watching the SF/Dal game, there were a couple times SF had the Tampa-2 look with Warner chasing the slot to the deep middle of the field… Dak under threw it and Warner kinda got away with a PI call as well.

I know Warner is an all-pro, but I gotta think there is an opportunity to get smitty or Quez behind him for a deep shot at some point.

I think you've got to throw deep. SF has been vulnerable against the long pass. If we're going to win, AJ needs a good game.

Being able to throw deep means our oline is doing its job. I'm confident we will be throwing deep...

Niners play a lot of Cover 3, and they play it successfully because Warner is a freak.Traditionally, you'd attack a cover 3 by attacking the flats, the deep seams down the hashes, and the gap between the deep safety and the MLB. The niners cover 3 is built around Warner being able to cover so much ground to eliminate the seams and downfield gaps. I would not be confident in being able to throw deep on the sidelines either, at least not until you chase them out of cover 3, as that's exactly what cover 3 is designed to take away.

The keys are:

1. Take what they give you on 1st down. Quick outs for 5-6 yards on 1st down should be there.

2. On 2nd/3rd and short, let the oline and run game kick them right in the teeth

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2, commit no turnovers, and sustain those 10+ play 6 min drives until the Niners realize they can't get their offense on the field unless they get out of cover 3

I agree, although I think we should establish the run first.  Balanced attack, take a few deep shots, Hurts scramble and take off a few times.

Their dline is nothing special. 44 sacks. Bosa only chance for success is against Mailata...maybe. see how Jordan does himself out there against Bosa, then maybe give him some help. Not worried about him against Lane.

break into parking lot and start drinking at 3am. 12 hours of tailgating worked in the divisional round right?

Watch tape from the 40-8 game in 1994, and do that again.

Roll out and away from Bosa. Throw it over Warners head.  Score tuddies.  Win.
