Posted January 25, 20232 yr I’ll start. I thought Reddick would be a bust signing. Maybe 5-6 sacks. Thought he’d just be a weird situational wide 9 pass rusher.
January 25, 20232 yr Hurts didn't pass the eye test as a passer for me in 2021, so I was ready to move on. Also, heading into the 1998 draft, I said Leaf > Manning, so I clearly cannot scout QBs.
January 25, 20232 yr Didn’t think Hurts would progress this much as a passer. Also thought Howie was a bum for passing on JJ and instead he turns around and adds a wonder free agent class. Lastly, thought the Eagles might compete for the division this year and instead we may win the whole thing. Glad to be wrong on all fronts.
January 25, 20232 yr I thought we were going to make playoffs as wild card win 1 game and then lose in divisional round
January 25, 20232 yr Thought Hurts would not be the starter by the end of the season, glad I was wrong.
January 25, 20232 yr Didn't think Hurts would improve Didn't think we'd get to the playoffs I'm very happy to be wrong about these

When I saw thread title, I entered to add the same. When announced Reddick was signed, I too didn’t think it would pan out.
January 25, 20232 yr I thought this was a 10 win team, I thought Miles Sanders would never get to a thousand yards rushing, and Cox, plus BG should not have been back. All of these guys outperformed my expectations.

January 25, 20232 yr At the beginning of the year, I thought this team's ceiling was losing in the divisional round. They're much better than that.
January 25, 20232 yr I thought at this time we would be talking about what qbs are available for us to pick in the draft. Happy to be proven wrong 🙂
January 25, 20232 yr I thought Sanders was done. I did think we’d be competitive 12-13 win team at best due to relatively easy schedule, but nowhere near what we ended up being. Thought defensive backfield while improved would still be an issue Outside of Eagles was convinced the Jets would surprise world and win AFC East
January 25, 20232 yr I said we'd win 14 games, Hurts would be in the MVP conversation and we'd make the NFCCG where we either won or lost to the 49ers. But seriously, I predicted we'd make the playoffs due to an easy schedule, but go one and done again. I never thought Hurts couldn't improve at all, but I expected any improvement to be minimal, and he'd likely be nothing more than a JAG to slightly above average. Nothing special.
January 26, 20232 yr When last season ended I thought we would be a similar 9‐10 win, mediocre, one and done team this year. Probably struggling on offense. And that we would be using our extra draft picks to target a QB in the offseason. I did leave the door open for Jalen to improve and prove himself, but I'm usually optimistic about sports and I always do that, so I can't get credit for it lol. Edit. I also worried about the pass rush lol. Nailed it!
January 26, 20232 yr I thought Defensive line was going to be a big problem. BG coming off injury, Barnett liability, Cox past prime, didn't expect Hargrave to still play at such a high level, Sweat I thought was decent. But I wanted them to draft a DE.
