Wow, what a difference 5 years must make.  Have you looked at the prices for this one?  I am kinda thinking about letting the dust settle first and waiting in hopes prices go down, but then I feel like that's risky in being able to find a place to stay and get a flight.  Thanks for sharing what you did, definitely food for thought.

I haven’t looked but I can imagine.  I had no choice but to wait and take that risk.  Truth be told, it wasn’t as risky as it seemed.  StubHub still had tickets just a few days out and those prices dropped a LOT and fast at that point.  Take note.

If you can suffer the drive, book a hotel right now about an hour away from the stadium.  Huge price difference ($75/night I believe is what I paid) and you can cancel within their policy timeline if you can’t go.

I heard the avg. price for SB tickets for good seats is about $5,500 per ticket.

That’s the get in

Yeah I'm looking at hotels that are about 45 min - 1 hr away from the stadium.  So far, found a few with availabilities but all are NON refundable deposits (even that far away).  I have yet to find one within a 60-75 min radius of the stadium that isn't non refundable.  Man, you really got me thinking about booking stuff to go out and waiting on tickets.

Hey bro, check out Philly Sports Trip. I just heard a commercial on 97.5. Fully refundable deposit

Thanks man!  I'm looking at it now...fully refundable and they look legit.  They don't include game tickets, but it's a private charter flight just full of eagles fans (with free beer, lol), 3 nights at a hotel they said is about 90 min away (but really nice) and all transfers between hotel and stadium, etc.  Tailgates too and other things.  Seems pretty cool and is definitely a consideration for us.

If this helps, In 2018 we went through Prime Sport, but I think they have been bought out from someone else now. Ticket and pregame party. Price is on the ticket in this photo. Seats were up in mid 2nd level.  Stayed at a hotel in Saint Paul for $180 a night and the flight was not too bad about $400 round trip had a layover in Detroit the way there nonstop the way home. All in was about $4000.

Thanks man, that does help.  I just looked them up, funny enough the folks who bought them out are called "on location experiences"...and they are the main ones I've been looking at so far.  I'm gonna call them today for more details about their packages, but their ticket prices are the best I've seen yet (as far as the cheapest ticket available just to get in the stadium).

Good luck man! Hope you have a blast! If you do end up using them, I would love to know how it went.

airbnb fraud will go through the roof too.

The modern sports championship final is basically a golden ticket to price gouge for travel agents and hoteliers.

Rent an RV with a group and do a road trip?

Perhaps you can get away with parking in a Walmart lot, but I’m sure the parks and parking lots are going to upcharge also.

Went in 2018, ended up paying a hefty premium on a ticket in section 103, retail price $2700 and paid over twice amount from reseller on SeatGeek after fees (bought ticket immediately after NFCCG that year however given fear of missing out on tickets).

I booked my hotel and rental car earlier though, the week of the divisional round with the flexibility to cancel, still cost me about $300/night in St. Paul about 30 min away.

Due to work obligations won't be able to make it this time around in February, but was able to go to the divisional round last week and am coming back to Philly this weekend for the conference game!

I definitely think you’re safe waiting until it’s a sure thing that they’re going as far as the hotel.  The logistics are worth navigating for the experience.  Seeing the Eagles play in the SB in 2018 was a definitely a gamble going in, yet the single most momentous sporting victory I’ve ever witnessed.

When I went in 2018, this is how I rolled:

- Got on StubHub and watched prices explode immediate after the NFCCG.

- Found a section within my relative affordability range and paid attention to ticket quantities over a week or so

- Kept checking as prices dropped as the week went on and tickets in that section went unsold.

- As soon as quantities hit a risk point of missing out altogether and prices dipped, I pulled the trigger.  Got my seat at a MUCH lower price than they would’ve cost the day they made the big game.  Still cost $3750 after broker fees…and worth every penny.

That's exactly what I do for any sporting event and concerts.

Nice view.  I do agree about waiting, but def can't wait until the day of.  Just can't book flight/hotel and all that and then "hope" to get a ticket last minute.  Ugh.

You will get a ticket but might not be the one you want.

Saw $6K a ticket including fees a while back.

When I went to Super Bowl XV against the Raiders, the face value was $50. Walking to the stadium about two hours before the game, scalpers were selling them for $40. They were taking a loss just to get rid of them. It’s amazing how much things have changed.

Can't even go to a preseason game for $50 these days.  Ridiculous how much tickets have gone up over the years.

Yeah, I'm going to Arizona (in March to see the grand canyon)

Other than that I will watch it from the comfort of my own couch
