I think this young RB is worthy of a mid round pick (3rd-5th). He runs hard, keeps his feet, doesn't shy away from contact and has been highly productive. He's 5'11", 215lbs., 21.6 years old, and a Junior who declared for the 2023 draft. Wasn't used in the passing game, but that career 7.3 yards per carry on 484 carries is worth exploring. He dominated in Conference USA and that's what an NFL prospect is supposed to do.

My #1 RB choice in the mid-rounds. Kid just has "it" and would pair greatly with Gainwell.

The issue is that he isn't much of a factor in the passing game... but our RBs aren't schemed up very much in the passing game, so whatever.

Their offense wasn't really built to give him those opportunities. So we really don't know one way or the other.

That’s not a big issue for me. Even if they do start using the RBs more in the passing game with the new OC (likely Brian Johnson), that’s something Gainwell is good for.

Agreed. We likely need 2 backs. Would be nice to have someone with a little more power and tackle breaking ability to preserve Hurts. And if they ban the Philly QB Sneak then we need a guy that can break some tackles and move the chains.
