February 8, 20232 yr Make Mahomes uncomfortable as much as possible. Be aware of the quick dump offs and weird trick plays that Andy likes to do.

I say treat Kelce like a Piñata and break his arse in two every opportunity afforded, you gotta slow his roll and hard hitting will do it. I think press man will work on their WRs since Hardeman is out, none of KC's remaindering WR will run past our DBs.....even Slay can keep up with those guys. But Toney has shown himself to be dangerous when he has the ball in his hands, they need to put him on the ground ASAP when he receivers the ball.
February 8, 20232 yr Author I have a feeling KC will be in the hurry up all game to not let our dline get the subs in.

Due to Slay's pathetice tackling shown this year I'm sure he's gonna be targeted early and often, he he needs to be ready to play, especially when it comes to tackling, they'll be both running and throwing in his direction. If Slay tackles well, the Eagles win.

February 11, 20232 yr Our rush attack has worked very well this season. Deploy it to the max effect should be in order. The interior DL also works well and is staffed with multiple starter-quality DTs, with plenty of playoff experience In fact, Suh gave Mahomes a hard time in their previous SB encounter. Controlling KC rushers should not be an issue. Remember how we won the 49ers game but eliminating their QBs and rendered their other potent weapons ineffective? Achieving the same effects on Mahomes won't be easy. But if we could disable the brain where everything starts, the limbs won't be a factor.

This is what Gannon loves to do on defense so it's likely they go this route and hope the front 4 can get after Mahomes who won't be super mobile back there. Mahomes adjusted to that. Especially without Tyreek and the ankle injury. He takes the check downs now and a lot of their scoring drives are long dink and dunk down the field drives chewing up clock.
February 11, 20232 yr The defense just needs to play the way they have all season. Pressure and sack the QB and force turnovers. They are going to give up points. This could end up being a shootout like the 2017 SB against Brady. Stalling drives and getting a turnover or two to steal some possessions is what is going to win us the game.
February 11, 20232 yr I'm just looking at Superbowl history and it's very rare that the team with the better defense has lost the game. The two times I can think of were the 49ers in 2019, and maybe 2012. And there never has been one where a much superior defense has lost. Defense wins championships maybe sounds cliche but it's pretty accurate.
February 12, 20232 yr The Chiefs are gonna use their RBs and TEs alot. That means Gannon cant be stuck in his same old defense to prevent the deep pass..
February 12, 20232 yr Got to make good sound tackles I think that's going to be so important. Toney is good in space, their RBs are good in space. Got to just rally and tackle.
February 13, 20232 yr I guess the game plan was Play 10 yards off the receivers Don't bother stopping the run Allow receivers to be uncovered and stroll into the end zone. Don't hit or sack mahomes Allow mahomes to do wth he likes Well done Gannon!
February 13, 20232 yr The game plan was soft zone and don’t even think about jumping a route How many times did mahomes even throw over 20 yards?
February 13, 20232 yr Looked like the plan was to stick to the plan if it's working or not. Whatever the plan was it sucked.
February 13, 20232 yr The whole strength of the Eagles defense was negated by piss poor field conditions. Of all the super bowls to get a field like this. Philly truly is cursed

February 13, 20232 yr Yknow….. the qb sneak for the eagles is unstoppable. Been unstoppable all year. Was unstoppable in the SB. But you know what Spags and the chiefs TRIED to do to stop it? everything but the kitchen sink. they tried to stuff linebackers in the gaps. they tried jumping over the lineman. they tried undercutting the lineman. they tried pushing their d-linemen they tried lining up offsides they tried to jump the snap they tried everything. when the chiefs started their wr in motion and then bringing him back to the side he came from, you know what Gannon did? not a gotdamn thing. And the guy would be wide open and the cbs for the eagles would be pointing at each other. gannon was the weak link on this team all season.
February 14, 20232 yr So I guess the answer was to play a vanilla week 3 of the pre-season type defense with zero adjustments. Oh, and to pretend like Tyreek Hill was still on the Chiefs and do everything possible to not get beat deep and allow Mahomes to get the ball out quickly and have all of the 5-10 yards passes he wanted.
