Posted February 10, 20232 yr Chris Smith is one of the best safeties in the upcoming draft. If the Eagles do not resign CGJ or Epps then Chris Smith is a great young replacement if they can get him in the 2nd round or his stock may rise and he could be pick 30. He is a physical player and is very versatile. Smith can play deep, in the box, and at nickel. He is almost a mirror image of CGJ. He could come in and be an immediate starter. I am not going to say he will be CGJ immediately but he can potentially grow into a great impact player with championship DNA. Plus Epps is also a FA so S may be a huge need by the time draft comes. Â
