Last season it seemed that the Eagles didn't invest much at all in ST from a player perspective. Coaches and players are inter-dependent. Raise the player talent and the coaches look better. Same thing the other way. Give the ST a really good punter and a handful of hard blocking, kamikaze tacklers, and I think things will look a lot better. If they don't after the additions, then at least everyone will know it's the coach.

Really? I don't think he's done a very good job at all and would have said he should be allowed to leave.

Honestly don’t even think Clay is the problem with special teams. They just don’t put any resources into it anymore. Remember when they used to always bring in strong special teams guys specifically to play on kick/punt units? They’d always have a safety and linebacker that were brought in only for their special teams abilities. 
 

When is the last time we really had specialists like that? Now they just throw backups on special teams whether they are good at it or not.
