Posted February 14, 20232 yr Mike Zimmer is a great defensive mind. I would love for him to be the next DC. First the scheme would be very similar to Gannon. He had great experience and knows how to get the most from all 3 levels of the of the defense. Not only that but Zimmer is very creative with Blitzes. I think Dennar Wilson would also be a good fit but as we saw in the Super Bowl, coaching experience matters. Maybe Marvin Lewis would be solid also. Given our last two Super Bowl performances, I would think that Lurie and Roseman are willing to pay what they need to get a top defensive mind.
February 15, 20232 yr Are we able to get Leslie Frazier and Jack Del Rio away from their DC roles to come here and run their own defense?

They did hire Schwartz though and it seemed like he had a job as long as he wanted it. I agree they definitely prefer controllable coaches over guys who have their own minds. It’s like Chip has permanently scarred them and if any coach dares to try any attempt at power he’s doomed to be gone.
